Professional, Thorough, and a Winner

Approximately 4 and a half years ago, I was subjected to dangerous conditions at a restaurant that resulted in a life changing injury to my face. I was forced to undergo plastic surgery to attempt to alleviate the damages, but I was left with permanent scarring, numbness, and an overwhelming sense of... helplessness. With no experience in a courtroom and without ever filing a lawsuit, I was unaware of any possible options. Fearing I had no recourse, I was luckily referred to Brian Breiter’s office by a friend. That referral changed my life. After a consultation with Brian and his team and a full explanation of all the events and information, they made me feel confident that my injuries would be dealt with accordingly. I immediately knew I was in the right hands. Brian’s office handled all the necessary filings and after a few months I was accompanied by Andrew Aukland from Brian’s team to my deposition. I was informed, confident, and calm due to the professionalism and rapport displayed by Brian and his attorneys throughout the process. A number of failed mediations followed, causing the likelihood of a trial to rise each time. With Brian’s confidence in my case as well as my knowledge of the facts, we continued our pursuit of justice despite the insurance carrier’s unwillingness to settle without a trial. In a strange twist, the defendant switched defense firms in the middle of the process, effectively starting the process from square one. The masterful team composed of Brian, Andrew, and Jeff Twomey were steadfast and assured me there was nothing to worry about. The ability to stay in constant communication with Brian’s office allowed me the peace of mind that my case was being handled by the best Plaintiff’s Attorney in Los Angeles. After nearly 5 years had gone by since the accident, the insurance carrier left us with no other option but to try the case. As Brian explained to me, no trial by jury is ever a guarantee, but the strength of our case and magnitude of my injuries drove our desire for a fair and just resolution. The trial lasted 5 days and the preparation, dedication, and compassion by Brian, Jeff, and Andrew ultimately resulted in a successful Plaintiff verdict, finding the defendant 100% responsible. The jury delivered a verdict that was more than six times than the insurance carrier’s final offer. I will be forever thankful to Brian Breiter and his team of Jeff Twomey and Andrew Aukland for the compassion they showed me at one of the lowest points in my life. They took a terrible situation and fought to get me the absolute best possible result. When other LA lawyers will fold and take a settlement to avoid trial, Brian will not back down. His constant communication and information is easy to digest and assuaged all trepidations I had throughout the 3 year process. Though the situation that led me to Brian and his team was horrific, the subsequent experience was fantastic due to the personal investment he and his office demonstrated. I unequivocally recommend him and will always be indebted to him for his amazing work.

A M A Z I N G ! ! !

If I could give more stars I would!! Talk about a stand up team at the Law Offices of Brian Breiter. It's been 20 months since I was hit by a car as a pedestrian where I broke my tibia and fibula, ankle, pelvis in four places, five broken ribs and road rash up the wazoo but this past week I got m...y settlement thanks to my amazing lawyer, Brian Breiter. Because the person who hit me had just the minimum insurance required by CA law, it was likely that I would be stuck with exorbitant medical bills. Mr Breiter was able to convince MediCal that I shouldn't be liable which saved me from having to be responsible for them. Mr Breiter and his team always keep me updated on the case and where it stood but were also available when I had questions. Wrongful Death

On October 27, 2015 my brother was killed in a tragic accident. He was riding his bike home from the beach. A semi with a shipping container was traveling the same way as he was, he was going under a bridge at the same time as the semi with the shipping container. As the semi made its way under t...he bridge the load was too high, the shipping container clipped the top of the bridge and fell onto my brother as he was riding his bike and killed him instantly. My brother was my everything, he was the only one left out of my immediate family. I’ll never forget the night, the coroner came to my house as soon as he introduced himself as the coroner I knew that my brother was dead. I remember all my family coming over that night and the next morning there was all different news vans sitting in front of my house channel 7 channel 9 channel 4.etc... they were pounding on my door at 7:30 8 o’clock in the morning, I never once gave the news a statement, I was too distraught so my cousins would always tell them to go away. Then I had a lot of lawyers waiting in front of my house because they wanted my business, I also had a couple of shady characters trying to get me to hire them to represent my brothers case, when I say shady I mean they were trying to do anything and everything to get me to hire them. At this point I did not know what to do so I started researching lawyers and Brian’s name came up. His name came up actually several times with 100% success rate. I finally met with Brian and my family was telling me that I should meet with at least three more lawyers to get a second and third opinion. At this time I really didn’t feel like meeting with different lawyers I just didn’t have the energy I felt so drained from everything. After I met with Brian my cousins and I went to go have some Pho, and on the fortune cookie that I got it said your first choice will be the wisest to follow at this time. After that fortune cookie I knew that Brian was my first choice and he was the wisest choice. So I highly recommend Brian he’s one of the best trial lawyers around or to me is the best! 2 1/2 years later it was bittersweet but my brothers case was finally settled and Brian did an amazing job even though there’s no amount of money that can bring my brother back, Brian made sure that I got the max amount. Thorough, dependable, empathic attorney

Life is nothing if not unpredictable and one beautiful day as I was crossing the street a car pulled into the wrong lane and hit me. Although my injuries were few I suffered a particularly severe fracture of my tibia and fibula, which required an intense surgical procedure called an intermedullary ti...bial nailing, which involved having a rod inserted down the length of my tibia and held in place with a screw in my ankle and 4 screws at the top of my tibia. I was allowed absolutely no weight-bearing for months, and an unknown date for when I’d be walking unassisted again. The fear and vulnerability that came from having my independence and financial security taken away from me is what propelled me to google “best personal injury lawyers.” Mr. Breiter’s name was the first one that came up and I called him after reading multiple positive reviews. From our first point of contact he treated me with empathy, respect, and professionalism. During that initial time of upheaval and constant worry he not only guided me through the legal steps but he also reassured me and made recommendations that made the healing time more bearable. He totally had my back and we were in the process together. In the first 9 months after the accident I went from using a walker, to crutches, and finally to a cane. One of the screws had to be surgically removed because it had started to work its way out of my leg and I could actually see it pushing against my skin from the inside out. At 10 months I could walk without the use of a cane so I was able to start working part time. It was another 3 months until I could get through a whole day without having to elevate and ice my leg and it would be years before the inflammation was gone for good. Due to the length of my healing time, and the fact that the defendant lived in another country, the legal process took longer than either of us expected. Mr. Breiter kept me updated on every step, and reassured me every step, and wouldn’t accept the lowball offers that the Defendant’s insurance company made. His advice, insight, and patience were invaluable and in the end their insurance company saw the light and we settled for a very satisfactory amount. Mr. Breiter is not only an experienced attorney but he is an upstanding human being as well. There was never any pressure to do, or not do, something I didn’t agree with or didn’t fully understand. He explained legal tactics and terminology I wasn’t familiar with, serenely guided me through the mediation process, was always available when I reached out to him, and was such a pleasure to work with. I was one of those people who didn’t believe I would ever hire a personal injury lawyer, partly because I never imagined I would be in a situation that warranted it, but mostly because they don’t have a very good reputation. Mr. Breiter completely changed my mind and I cannot express enough how helpful, thorough, friendly, confident, experienced, and personable he is. I have so much gratitude towards him and his staff for helping me through a difficult time and for providing me with such a pleasant conclusion to this journey.
