Mr. Kohn the best hands down!

About two years ago I was charged and arrested for a DUI. I had no idea how to go about finding an expert lawyer that handles DUI cases or how to fight the case. I kept seeing and hearing Larrys name and was interested but also hesitant. I thought since he was so good that he would have to many case...s and wouldnt have enough time to give mine his full attention. I called his office on a Friday afternoon right before his office closed and got a hold of him. We set an appointment and he came in on a Saturday morning just to hear my situation and see what the next steps were. When I saw that he came in on a Saturday and had his full attention I knew he was the one. He started on the paper work to allow me to keep my license until my court hearing immediately. He also recommend that I do 40 hours of community service, and attend a DUI and defensive driving course which I did. Two years have passed since then and a court date was finally set. Not only was i available to speak to Larry whenever but he always replayed or picked up his phone as well as his team. When ever I wrote an email or made a call there was always a replay with in 5 minutes. They kept me up to date with any changes or no changes in my case the whole two years i was waiting. I also had an immigration problem because i wasn't able to renew my work permit because of the pending case, he stayed in contact with my immigration lawyers the entire time keeping them up to date and also making sure what he wanted to do wouldn't affect my immigration problem in a negative way. When you hire Larry you dont just hire him you get his great team as well. Finally after 2 years of waiting I had a court date set for December 2016 and I was a nervous wreck, but he came through and was able to get my case dismissed. The entire case was tossed out, no jail time, no probation, no nothing! I highly recommend Larry if you or anyone you know is looking for a lawyer. He gave me the best Christmas present I could receive by getting the case tossed out and keeping a clean record!!

20+ Charges in 2 Jurisdictions

I recently got off probation, and wanted to share my experience to folks that find themselves in a bind, and need to hire an attorney. In March of 2015 I found my self in Jail 90 miles from my residence facing 20 plus charges in 2 jurisdictions. Yes 20+ charges 2 DUI's, 5 hit and runs, Aggressive ...Driving, Reckless Driving, 5 Failure to report accident, 5 following too close, 5 failure to maintain lane. So yes my world was suddenly turned upside down. Once I got out of Jail I realized Immediately I needed the BEST attorney in Georgia. I searched the internet and Found William "Bubba" Head and associates as the premier DUI law office in the State of Georgia. I hired Jennifer Ammons..and she recommended a course of action. Before we went to court she took another Job with the State and my cases were assigned to Mr. Larry Kohn. I was very nervous having my cases reassigned...I assumed they would assign me to a lower associate lawyer....they did not...they assigned my cases several levels up to Mr. Larry Kohn. I met Mr. Kohn for the very first time at court...for the first case. He was professional and very blunt about the pile of sh!t I had gotten myself into. He was able to get the cases bound over and combined into 1. He recommend several things for me to do in the interim. 2 DUI Classes, 146 AA meetings, 21 Therapy Meetings, MADD meeting, 240hrs Community service etc. I took his advice seriously and did everything he recommended and more. The whole process took about 10 months before we went to Court for the finale. I was a nervous wreck the whole time, nightmares, guilt, remorse etc. Mr. Kohn was very upfront and blunt about what I was facing, a year or more of Jail, no License, etc. The end result, all but 5 charges were dropped, I plead guilty to 5, Sentence: 4 months in Jail on work release in my "HOME" county got out to go to work every day except 3 days...weather, Holiday. 4 months no license, got my license back the day after I got out of jail. 80hrs community service which I had already completed, 10 Therapy Meetings which I had already completed, DUI Classes which were already completed, and 8 months probation. I was fined $1300 plus fees. I served 6 months of probation they cancelled the last 2 months (early termination). My gratitude for Mr. Kohn can not be expressed in words, It's much deeper than any word I can type here. I hope this review has helped you in learning more about Mr. Kohn and his abilities as an EXPERT, FIRST CLASS ATTORNEY. He can help you "Believe Me"...he can help Make your Life Great Again!

Larry Kohn: An Exceptional Attorney

I will begin this review by first expressing my gratitude for having had Larry on my family's side. He has proven himself to be a first class lawyer who is honest and shows much integrity and professionalism. This is not a fabricated review nor is this a review that is being submitted out of obl...igation. This is a review to give Larry the credit that he deserves as a Criminal Defense Lawyer. If you are seeking an attorney who first and foremost knows the law and will fight for you, then there is no point in retaining anyone other than Larry Kohn. He will go above and beyond in trying to ensure the best possible outcome for your case. I can say this because he fought hard for my 19 year old son and the outcome was more than favorable; It was miraculous. When my son initially got into trouble, I searched "Criminal Defense Attorneys" in Georgia and saw the link to AVVO. I began reading as many reviews as I could on various lawyers and when I began reading Larry's reviews, I was struck by the number of positive reviews and favorable comments that he'd received. I called his firm to set up the initial consultation. To share some particulars of my 19 year old son's case; He was charged with 2 felonies (one of which was a drug charge) as well as 3 misdemeanors. Larry explained during our initial consultation that this was going to be a difficult case. He assured us that he would do the very best that he could, but because he wanted us to realize what we were up against and because he is honest and a "straight shooter" - he made no guarantees. Although I was a scared mom, I respected his honesty and made the decision that we would hire him to represent my son. This whole legal process has been daunting to say the least, but having Larry there to reassure us, disect the law for us and keep us informed along the way, has made this that much more bearable. He communicated often with my son, and let him know that he needed to straighten up and get his act together. I appreciated him taking the time to speak so directly with my son, because in this whole legal maze of a system, that kind of caring is often times not offered. Larry spoke with my son about the law as it pertained to his case and did not sugarcoat the fact that these were serious charges with very serious consequences. Consequences that could be life-altering. After months and months of going through this legal nightmare-Fast forward to our scheduled court date to address these charges. Larry worked so very hard for my son and he was able to get the felony charges reduced to misdemeanors. And not to minimize this, because this entire process was extremely difficult. This was no easy task, but Larry genuinely wanted the best for my son. Only an experienced attorney who is extremely knowledgeable would have been able to garner this outcome. My 19 year old son will not have to walk around a convicted felon. We owe this to Larry's expertise and caring. There are not enough ways to say "Thank You." My son and my entire family have immense respect and adoration for Mr. Kohn. I can stop crying now because you saved my son's life-Thank You Larry..

Saved me, a non-Georgia resident, from a DUI Conviction

I was in Atlanta visiting my sister's family when some friends in the area asked me to go out that night. They picked me up in a brand new BMW, and at the end of the night, I wanted to take it for a spin. Not long after, I was arrested for DUI, Reckless Driving, Speeding (95mph in a 65mph zone), and ...Failure to Signal a Lane Change. The gravity of the situation weighed heavily on me as I was in lock-up, and once I got out and reviewed the penalties associated with those offenses, I seriously thought my career was in jeopardy. A DUI is 10-day minimum prison sentence. My drivers license would likely get suspended. In my line of work, I must always be available for contact, and my absence from work would have derailed a $50 million project. On top of that, what other special circumstances affect me since I don't reside in Georgia? I contacted several of the top-rated DUI lawyers in Atlanta on Avvo.com For me, money was not an issue, especially for a matter as serious as this. And while he's not on the cheaper side of the spectrum for DUI lawyers in Atlanta, he certainly is not the most expensive. So what set Larry apart from the others was his completely honest assessment of my situation. I felt the others tried to sell me false hope while Larry was a straight-shooter. And that's the kind of person I wanted on my team. Once I hired Larry, he gave me a list of things to do in order to help my case. Substance abuse evaluation, DUI school, etc. In the mean time, he would make all of the court appearances for me since I lived out-of-state. That alone saved me thousands in flight/hotel/car rental expenses. Whenever I had a question, Larry was quick to respond to my emails or texts. And then finally a year and a half after my arrest, a date for my Motions Hearing was set. For 1.5 years, the specter of this legal issue hung over my life. I fully expected to serve jail time for this; and while that would have been terrible, my real concern was my career. On the eve of the Motions Hearing, literally 10 minutes before I was about to set off on my drive to Atlanta, I got a call from Larry. Because of the evidence that they had on me, Larry told me that he was able to make a deal with the prosecutor to drop the DUI charge. And sure enough, because of Larry's hard work on this case, because of the DUI-related tasks that he had me do before the Hearing, and because of his working relationships within the courts, I plead guilty to only Reckless Driving and Speeding and walked out of court with only a $500 fine, no probation. On top of that, the Speeding wasn't even the excessive variety (15+ mph over the limit). Now, Larry's service could have ended right there. Instead he insisted on guiding me through the process of paying the fines and recovering the cash bond that was posted for my arrest. All the while, I witnessed him working his relationships within the court system to help out another client. It reminded me of a lobbyist in Congress making backroom deals to further his clients goals. Like a lot of things in life, it's all about who you know. And Larry knows them all. I honestly cannot recommend Larry Kohn enough. Do yourself a favor and hire him.
