Larry was very helpful in handling my recent DUI charge. From the first consultation he was honest and forthright about the case. He did not make any promises other than to handle the case to the best of his abilities, which he greatly accomplished. As a result of his hard work and extensive knowledg...e, he was able to get my charge reduced to reckless driving and keep a DUI off my record. This was my first encounter with the law and it was quite nerve wracking, but Larry was able to help me put this whole ordeal behind me.

Larry Kohn saved me from jail time

March this year, I had my 4th lifetime DUI. Last one was 29 years ago. I am not proud of this, but had felt that my being DUI free for such a long time would make for an easy resolution of my case. That was not the case, as the court had records of all my previous offenses, and was prone to be quite ...firm in my sentencing. Larry was able to negotiate with the prosecutor, explaining that my DUI that night was not regular behavior and explaining to the court that I realized that I had a problem with alcohol and was seeking treatment. I followed his advice regarding seeking treatment, and the judge accepted the deal Larry had worked out. I avoided jail time, and I am now alcohol free, and have come to realize, accept, and treat my condition, and avoid further problems with drunk driving. Larry's skill at negotiating a deal with the prosecutor, his thorough knowledge of the laws, and how to approach the various jurisdictions are the reason that I was able to avoid a stiff sentence and jail time. The eventual outcome that I came to realize I had an alcohol problem, is also due to Larry, and an additional benefit of his defense, as he very clearly realized that that was at the heart of my current and past problems with the law. I am very happy with his services and would recommend him to anyone seeking DUI defense, as they will get expert legal advice and representation. In my case a little something extra too, empathy, and understanding, and some personal advice that will keep me from future legal problems.

GOT RESULTS! Responsive, Trustworthy, Caring and Exceptionally Capable

Let me open with Larry GOT RESULTS! If you are reading this review… right now….and wondering if LARRY KOHN is the lawyer for you, stop wondering :) He is. Larry not only got results, he did so while maintaining integrity and treating me (his client) with kindness, respect, responsiveness and und...erstanding. A little bit about bit about me my case... I'm about as squeaky clean, do the right thing, church going, yoga practicing, avid community volunteer, buttoned up business professional as they get.... But I made a mistake. I weigh about 115lbs and THOUGHT I was eating and enjoying some celebratory champagne responsibly on the evening I was pulled over. I was pulled over not for driving erratically… but for not noticing that the valet hadn't turned my lights all-the-way-on when I left the restaurant. It was at this time that I learned my Blood Alcohol Level was well above the legal limit. And enough above the limit, that every attorney I spoke with told me it would be NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to plea-down-my-case. I was understandably devastated and personally disappointed in myself for my lack of self-awareness in that moment… and convinced there was nothing ANYONE could do for me but steward me through the process and make sure I dotted all my “i’s” and crossed all my “t’s” correctly to keep the impact to a minimum. I was convinced my career and reputation were ruined and that I would be paying for this mistake everyday… for the rest of my life. BUT I WAS WRONG…there was something someone could do, and Larry DID IT!!! He fought for me. He worked with the related officers and officials to ensure the best possible outcome would happen for me. He listened, fought, cared, maintained integrity and did what EVERY ATTORNEY I spoke to about my case before I retained Larry said was very likely IMPOSSIBLE… Larry was able to plea-bargain me down to a RECKLESS DRIVING TICKET. Larry’s abilities made it possible for me to look at this experience as a positive life experience. One of self discovery, personal reflection and eventually personal forgiveness. I can never thank him enough for being the talented LAWYER that he is and PERSON of character that he is. He not only was able to plea-down-my-case but he also provided me the guidance and support I needed to functionally go through the legal process (that is being charged with a DUI) in the state of Georgia with grace, understanding and confidence. So if you’re looking for a lawyer that is TRUSTWORTHY, will not only treat you with respect and hold-your-hand through the process….but also DELIVER RESULTS!!! I can’t recommend Larry highly enough. *note: Above in my rating scale, I list that I have worked with more than 10 attorneys. I am referring to corporate attorneys not criminal attorneys. Larry is the only criminal attorney that I have ever worked with, but would match his intellect, professionalism, capabilities and character to any attorney I've worked with in the corporate world.

DUI Case

Attorney Kohn was very straight forward, sympathetic, and honest at the same time during my case. He was able to turn a nightmare situation into a very pleasant outcome. The DUI was kept off my record and I was charged with reckless driving. I have never been arrested in my entire life or been in any... type of trouble in my life. It has been a very humbling and eye opening experience for me. During the entire process he stayed in contact with me and made sure I was aware of what was going on, my position and what the possible outcome could be. I would recommend Attorney Kohn to anyone that has a DUI situation. I am very appreciative that I had such a great Attorney in my corner! Thank you Attorney Kohn!

Honest and Straightforward

Larry’s confidence and knowledge gave me peace of mind from the beginning. During the consultation he was diligent in gathering information specific to my situation. He described the structure of the case that would likely be brought against me, what my options were, and the possible outcomes of goin...g to trial. He made sure I stayed completely informed at all times, and also displayed a willingness to fight for me every step of the way. While absolutely unafraid to go to trial, his prudent and insightful approach spared me unnecessary expenses. Mr. Kohn was able to provide a realistic perspective and keenly recommend the best course of action. His experience in the field was invaluable. The suspension of my license was withdrawn due to his firm presentation of facts during the ALS hearing. Likewise, his apt negotiations with the prosecutor at the motion hearing led to a reduced sentence being reached pre-trial. I could not have asked for a better outcome nor more acute legal representation.
