Jeremy’s past experiences in working with the DA and his knowledge of the legal process was instrumental in getting my charge of unlawful surveillance dismissed. I would recommend his services to anyone who is facing serious legal charges. I found him to be professional, honest, intelligent, and I could not have had a better legal outcome than the one I received.

I retained Jeremy to represent me in a felony gun possession case. I am from out of state where I am a legal gun owner and was arrested at LGA for trying to bring a friend's gun home with me. I thought I had done my research on how to lawfully transport a gun but I was unaware of the strict gun laws in NYC. The only outcome that was going to be acceptable to me was an 'ACD' (adjournment in contemplation of acquittal) which would mean that after a 6 month period, my record would be sealed and the case dismissed. Jeremy told me up front that this was an unlikely outcome and the more likely result would be that my charge would be reduced to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. Thankfully Jeremy was able to get the ACD for me and for that, I am forever grateful.

In the midst of my divorce proceedings my husband accused me of assaulting him in front of my children. When the police came they arrested me because the law mandates arrests in domestic violence allegations even though my husband lied.
My matrimonial attorney got ahold of Jeremy and he was immediately available to move me through the system and get me out. One of his colleagues even convinced the judge to issue a limited order of protection to allow me back home despite the DA's request.
Jeremy ultimately got me in front the the ADA and her supervisor to tell them what really happened. After our meeting and other work by Jeremy the DA dismissed the entire case even over my husband's objection.
Jeremy was kind and considerate. He not only got the case dismissed but he was supportive and communicative the entire time.

I retained Jeremy after I was arrested for possession of cocaine and charged with PL 220.03. My friend had cocaine but I did not but the police arrested us both. When I saw the judge, the prosecutor said I admitted to possessing the cocaine. This was absolutely false.
I came back to court and rejected the DA offer a second time and before my third court date the DA dismissed the case after Jeremy convinced them I never had drugs and we could beat the case at trial. Even though it was the policeman's word over mine we got the DA to listen.

I retained Jeremy Saland and Crotty Saland PC one day before my DAT court appearance in NYC. My case was complicated because I was unable to appear in court. I am a foreign national, was in my country and my visa was revoked due to my arrest for criminal possession of marijuana. In roughly 24 hours, Jeremy told us the exact paperwork we needed so that he could seek an immediate dismissal of my case and sealing the same day. Jeremy went to court and met a family member. Jeremy convinced the judge to dismiss the case, seal it, give me a certificate of disposition and close it all on the same day of my DAT appearance even though the law says the case can stay open for a year.
Now that my case was dismissed and closed, I am going to address my visa and return to college in the United States. Jeremy was very helpful and extremely responsive. I never met him in person, but even though I was thousands of miles away I trusted him. He did not disappoint.

Last year I went to pick up my child from school. When I put him in the car seat of my car the police showed up and arrested me. They said that a teacher claimed I was intoxicated but interestingly enough, the police didn't charge me with DWI.
I was humiliated that a teacher or staff member would do that and then I would face accusations of reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. The DA put an order of protection in place against me and Child Protective Services made a finding against me too.
If there was any bright spot, my attorney, Jeremy Saland, really handled the case well. I got what is called an ACD. In one year the case will be gone. I appealed the finding for maltreatment of my child. The standard in this proceedings favor CPS and are low. Well, we just got notice today that Jeremy won the CPS appeal for me and the judge reversed the finding to unfounded.
I see a lot of posts and reviews on Jeremy Saland. In my experience they are accurate. He cares. He fights. He knows when to backdown and when not to backdown. In my case he got rid of the crimes I was accused of and the CPS finding against me.

I found Jeremy online and met him for a consultation after I was assigned a legal aid attorney who basically gave me a bleak outlook for my case and gave me little to no faith that he could help me. The father of my children accused me of assaulting him and harassing him on the phone. The inanity of the situation was magnified after the police arrested me for trespassing at my own home where I raise our children. It is horribly scary when you are the victim of abuse and the police arrest you.
Jeremy treated me just as I read in the reviews. He was respectful and caring. Equally important (if not more!), he agreed to take my case pro bono and really fought hard for me. He brought me to meet with the ADA for something called a Queen for a Day and I told them my story. He collected the evidence and made a package for them proving my innocence. Jeremy went to court multiple times too.
After some hard work from Jeremy and patience on my end, the DA’s Office dismissed the charges. Just like it has always been, my record is clean. I have always looked out for myself and did everything on my own from getting a GED to a masters degree, but I am grateful Jeremy was willing to trust me and work for me. I was innocent and he made sure the DA knew it too.

My son is a good kid who has suffered from some mental health issues. Sometimes he makes poor decisions. He was arrested for trespassing and the police found him with Xanax. When we reached out to Jeremy we were very concerned. I know our son has anxiety and we wanted to get him out of jail and get him help.
When my son was finally released from the Queens Courthouse it was obvious that he was not in a good emotional state. My wife and I took him from court and when we began walking out he hit me. I know my son and he is not this type of person, but being locked up exacerbated his anxiety. I had no interest in doing anything about him lashing out at me and I understand why he did, but the police saw it and arrested my son. They put him right back into jail. All of this was a nightmare for our family.
After his second arraignment, my wife and son sat with Jeremy in his office to come up with a plan. I spoke with Jeremy so he could guide me as well. Not only did Jeremy respectfully handle our calls (there were many!), but we went back to court earlier this week and the cases are over. One case was dismissed and the other case was closed with an ACD. This means in six months my son will be free of all the remaining charges.
I am truly happy with the outcome even if I didn’t want to be dealing with this in the first place. My son will get the help he needs and can go about his life without horrendous consequences of these arrests.

I was arrested for assaulting an ex girlfriend after Jeremy had represented me in Family Court to get an order of protection removed that this same girlfriend obtained without clearly showing the true nature of the relationship and her violence.
Even after the order was gone and I was arrested. I went back to Jeremy and we showed evidence that the allegations were not accurate. Slowly but surely, the prosecutor lowered her offer from nothing to a dismissal after less than a year. Did I want to exonerate myself at trial? Yes, but the dismissal got me where I needed so I could move on with my career. I am angered and upset that I was arrested, but Jeremy’s advice was sound and proved correct. Its not easy to convince a prosecutor that a man was the victim of abuse, but evidence showed that I really was and Jeremy got it done.

I was arrested for shoplifting more then 3,000 worth in NYC. Even worst, this wasn't my first time, or my second. I had already went to prison for shoplifting felonies and was currently on parole for one of those times. When I first saw the judge, my attorney told me that it was likely I was going to go to prison because I was a predicate felon Conviction was a minimum of two to four years. An indictment was likely coming. I decided to get a new criminal lawyer who I believed would fight for me. I have made many mistakes and I have shoplifted before, but I needed help to get better and stop the cycle for my sake and my children. I have a job, pay my own way and take care of my kids. Jeremy listened to me. Jeremy really fought for me. Jeremy was concerned about me and my family. He saw the big picture. As he said to the DA, she could put me in prison but I'd be out in two to four years without a job and my children would be without a mother. We would all become products of the system. Everyone would lose. Jeremy convinced the DA to allow me to plea to a misdemeanor and remain in counseling to address addictive disorders and other mental health issues. If I did not get arrested, remained with my councelor for treatment and stay employed, I could later take back the misdemeanor and get a violation. In other words, no prison, no felony, no misdemeanor and no additional crime on my record. I keep my job and my children. I have promised myself to get better for my children and just for myself. It took someone to believe in me to be willing to go to battle and win. Nobody did before. Jeremy is more than a criminal defense lawyer. He's smart. He listens. He cares. He is giving me a chance to change my life. Result aside, his dedication and service was priceless.
