The all...egations involved the spending of $25,000 through the use of a fraudulently opened credit card with another person's credit. The falsification of records involved the application for the credit card and a loan on top of that. One felony will ruin anybody's life and future prospects, let alone 3. As dumb as my crime was, I am currently pursuing a profession where even a misdemeanor can bar entry. Any kind of criminal record would have end my career before it even started. Jeremy worked a deal with the D.A. and at the end, 2 of the charges were dismissed, and the last dropped to Disorderly Conduct with no conditions. Disorderly Conduct is a violation, not a crime and will not produce a criminal record. I did not serve probation nor was I ordered to do community service. Any case resolved in the defendant's favor (meaning no criminal convictions) will ultimately be sealed in New York State. Sealed records are not accessible by the public, which includes employers. In short, I DO NOT HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD, did no probation or community service. Jeremy Saland is truly a Godsend and I will never regret choosing him to represent me. He got me my future back. I had a public defender at first and I KNOW FOR A FACT, that if I had stuck with the public defender, I would have a record.
