Jeremy was referred to me by a friend after I had spent $1,500 at my arraignment with a different attorney. Switching attorneys was by far the best decision I could have made. I retained Jeremy Saland after I was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor. Although I reached out to multiple attorneys, Jeremy was was responsive, confident and supportive. More importantly, Jeremy knew the law and walked me through the entire process. To make matter's worse, the DA's Office was not making the offer we wanted. Jeremy even dug up paperwork that contradicted what the prosecutor said, but she still refused to make the offer we wanted. Ultimately, we took the case to trial and we went before a judge for that purpose. Jeremy told me to stay calm even though we were about to begin the trial. Before the trial started, Jeremy went back to the prosecutor. I don't know how he did it, but at that point the DA's Office gave in and we got more than I hoped for. Instead of risking the misdemeanor or taking their original offer, I pleaded to violation and paid a $150 fine. Upon paying the fine, which I did minutes later, I came back to court and the DA's Office and the judge agreed to let me vacate my plea (withdraw it!). The judge then dismissed the case and sealed it. I really could not be happier. I avoided a criminal record and the case was dismissed. This was better than an ACD! Jeremy went to court with me a half a dozen times and each time told me to stay calm. Even if one approach didn't work he tried something new and NEVER GAVE UP! Jeremy was outstanding and honest as well as responsive and knowledgeable. I recommend him 100%!

I am a New York city physician. As such, I have often been the recipient of PBA cards and other police related materials as a courtesy directly or indirectly from either other physicians or relatives of police officers. One evening I was stopped by police for talking on my cell phone while discussing a hospital related matter. I am a Washington state resident and have a permit for my handgun. After traveling with it to New York, following all of the airline and FAA requirements I was arrested and charged with a class C felony. The gun had been unloaded and in a locked hardsided case.
