I was charged with a crime that I absolutely did not commit and hired Jeremy Saland. No matter what I shared or was willing to provide, the DA’s Office still moved forward. If not for Jeremy believing in me, if not for Jeremy fighting for me, if not for Jeremy being a great lawyer, I would likely be in a jail cell for a crime I did not commit. Jeremy represented me with getting an order of protection from family court against my ex, my ex went later fabricated a story that was demonstrably false and had me arrested. With time and effort, Jeremy was able to convince the prosecutor to dismiss the case on the merits despite my ex and her coun...sel aggressively pursuing the false allegations. Unfortunately, there is an assumption because I was the man that I was culpable for wrongdoing when I was always the victim. It is that much harder to exonerate yourself when the lies are pursued so vigorously by the other side and the prosecutor’s first instinct is to believe the accuser. Nevertheless, Jeremy was relentless yet calm in his efforts to see that true justice was served, the DA dismissed my case on the merits because I had done absolutely nothing wrong, and to keep my family court order of protection against my ex in place so she could no longer abuse me.
