About me

Scott began his legal career as an intern in the Major Offense Prosecution Bureau of the Legal Aid Society's Brooklyn Office in 2001. He regularly tries criminal and civil rights cases throughout New York City winning numerous jury verdicts. Scott is a tireless advocate having handled some high profile criminal cases and he has an extensive amount of litigation experience, including: a recent jury verdict in federal court on a police brutality claim (Garcia v. Cabello, 11CV2284-EDNY); arguing various appeals, including a homicide, before the appellate division; cross examining state expert in felony DWI case (minutes now used in training class for prosecutors); and obtaining favorable results in numerous other civil and criminal cases in federal and state courts. Panelist: "Can Justice Be Had: Vehicular Homicide Symposium," Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, New York, NY, 2009. Scott enjoys an excellent reputation among the bench and bar owing to years of competent and ethical advocacy on behalf of his clients.
