Mr. Saland was professional from the minute I met him. I explained to him that I was falsely arrested. I felt that he must hear this a million times from clients stating that they were falsely arrested. I was embarrassed regarding the charges. After learning that my son was arrested for shoplifting some groceries, I called Jeremy Saland at the suggestion of my daughter who is a law student in New York. I am writing this you review on behalf of myself and my family. I hired Jeremy about year ago when I was arrested for drug possession. I was referred to Jeremy from a good friend of mine but when you hire a lawyer you really not sure what you are getting, so I experienced the most dedicated, hardwork...ing and most important caring person I have ever met. Jeremy got my drug possession charge dropped and also got My warrant from a previous arrest taken care of together and both were dismissed. I think why makes Jeremy stand out is his personal interest in me getting better. I am a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. While my case was going on I was in an inpatient rehab for 5 months and the one thing Jeremy told me was not to focus on this case; he would take care of it. (I trusted him) He encouraged me to get better and focus on myself. He genually cared about me. While I was in rehab he called my mother to see how I was doing often. He was in touch with my rehab counselor to check in on me and facilitated any paper that I would need. He made things easier on my family. Jeremy is not only my lawyer but he became a friend.

I was facing an horrific ordeal, on charges that weren't true, but due to circumstance and evidence, quite hard to beat. Jeremy worked tirelessly, by liaising with myself and DA, putting me in touch with a PD and working every angle of truth that existed in my case. I was charged with Identity Theft in the First and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree. Both are "D" felonies punishable by up to seven years in prison. I was also charged with Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, which is an "E" felony, punishable by up to four years in prison. The all...egations involved the spending of $25,000 through the use of a fraudulently opened credit card with another person's credit. The falsification of records involved the application for the credit card and a loan on top of that. One felony will ruin anybody's life and future prospects, let alone 3. As dumb as my crime was, I am currently pursuing a profession where even a misdemeanor can bar entry. Any kind of criminal record would have end my career before it even started. Jeremy worked a deal with the D.A. and at the end, 2 of the charges were dismissed, and the last dropped to Disorderly Conduct with no conditions. Disorderly Conduct is a violation, not a crime and will not produce a criminal record. I did not serve probation nor was I ordered to do community service. Any case resolved in the defendant's favor (meaning no criminal convictions) will ultimately be sealed in New York State. Sealed records are not accessible by the public, which includes employers. In short, I DO NOT HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD, did no probation or community service. Jeremy Saland is truly a Godsend and I will never regret choosing him to represent me. He got me my future back. I had a public defender at first and I KNOW FOR A FACT, that if I had stuck with the public defender, I would have a record. Jeremy is extremely professional, will not fool you, will let you know well in advance what you stand against and will advise and guide you properly through your ordeal. Additionally, he's understanding and very kind with his business practices.
