Excellent Advocacy and Professional Conduct

I retained Attorney Milligan after I was charged with 2nd offense DWI in Gloucester. Jay consulted with me and kept me in the loop about what was occurring with my case. He was straightforward with what I was to expect and he listened to and considered my input as we decided how to approach various i...ssues along the way. My trial was held in Peabody District Court in April 2013 and Jay handled the entire trial in an efficient and professional manner. After less than an hour long trial I was acquitted of the DWI charge. I am convinced without a (reasonable) doubt that Jay's advocacy was the reason why justice was served. I would highly recommend Jay to handle any legal matters but especially if you are charged with DWI.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

I hired Jay in December of 2010 after a serious car accident in which I was arrested for DUI. The charges were compounded by the new Mass laws which now use a lifetime look-back. I was looking at being held accountable for charges that were 20+ years old as well as the recent charge. Jay was always a...ccommodating in his flexibility to meet with me and discuss the case in terms that I could understand. He had a strategy and plan to proceed with the case. After years of delays within the court system and many attempts to discuss a settlement were ignored, we finally went to jury trial in April of 2013. Jay's preparation and professionalism shined brightly in the courtroom as he questioned the prosecution witnesses. He had the prosecution on the ropes to the point that when they rested their case, they hadn't even proven their burden. He motioned to the court for immediate dismissal of the case and the judge dropped all charges without continuing with the jury trial. I was facing severe penalties and Jay's tireless effort was the difference. He is truly a lifesaver and I can't recommend him enough! MANY THANKS JAY !!!

Highly Recommend! Jay's Knowledge and Execution got me a Favorable Decision.

Highly Recommend to help you with DUI Offenses

I hired Jay in September, 2012 after a DUI offense in Cambridge Ma. I did not realize at the time that I was being accused of a third offense and faced jail time as well as loss of license for at least six years and at least two weeks in alcohol awareness facility where I would have had to take two ...weeks vacation from work. Jay proved to be very knowledgable upon our first meeting. He kept me informed particularly during the first month when I was anxious, could not sleep etc. Jay worked tirelessly to research the case and got the first offense from 1986 throw out after research at the courthouses. Jay was trustworthy and responsive by working with the Cambridge DA and judges over a six month period to have a plea accepted for a second offense in exchange for a first time offense penalty of 40 hour 16 week alcohol awareness program, a hardship license, one year probation versus standard two years and interlock device which is required by the registry I highly recommend Jay for his straightforward approach, integrity and thorough knowledge of DUI offenses and how to solve them in the best interest of his clients.
