One of the very best in his field

DUI Case

Truly is a blessing to stumble upon James Milligan as my lawyer. Being that it was my first time getting pulled over for drunk driving, I thought I was at a lost because I didn't know how to react to this type of situation and it was stressing me out to the point of not knowing what to do but what I ...did know is that I needed to find a great lawyer. It wasn't long until I saw James name pop up on my search and after reading most of his reviews from his other clients, I knew that I would be in good hands with James as my attorney. Although the process took almost 2 years regarding gathering information and evidence, the end result was ultimately satisfying as he helped me resolve this case of not being guilty. I truly recommend hiring James as their attorney regarding any DUI, or OUI cases as it is his special line of work and I am definitely going to make sure to appoint my friends towards his direction as well if they stumble upon a similar situation as I did in the future!

Dui case

I was pulled over in cape cod mass in the summer of 2016. Read reviews online, saw attorney Jay Milligan's profile, and decided to give him a call. I ended up hiring him and he advised me of the various steps we would have to take. He advised me his office would file through several motions that woul...d cause me to show up in court for each appearance. It was not something I was thrilled about being that I lived 3.5 hours away and I would have to take random days off. Nor did I feel each time I went up there I get I was getting anywhere. Including one time I made the drive to find out that morning they had to reschedule which made me a little upset. I even felt that a dui case should not take a year to render a verdict. Nonetheless, leading up to the trial period I did not feel confident at all. A year later, we had the trial. Feeling uneasy about everything that was about to happen, my mind suddenly changed once I heard attorney Milligan present himself to the judge and realizing why I had to go through everything in the past year. He had a confidence and poise to him, but more importantly asked the right questions and followed it up with the right statements that gave me an extreme set of confidence in my verdict. Even if things didn't go my way I was going to shake his hand and thank him because I was very happy with his performance in court. To my satisfaction, I was given a not guilty verdict. I do want people to understand when reading this, I blew a .08, I skipped a couple letters in the alphabet, and passed every other test. I was also very cordial to the police officers and paid them respect throughout. I was basically on the edge of it going either way. Jay presented himself in the right manner and helped make the judge aware that this wasn't an extreme case and I was on the line. Thanks to Jay he made me fee a sense of relief and atonement. Let's just say I learned a valuable lesson and if you ever get yourself in a situation such as mine, Jay is your man.

Great Defense Attorney and Person

Attorney Milligan is a very confident lawyer. He knows what he is doing and does what he says he will do. He has your best interest at heart. He makes himself very available for consultation and knows how to keep his client calm by being realistic and straight forward. I was feeling overwhelmed a...nd anxious at times because there is a lot to lose when it comes to your drivers license. I was from out of state and knew no one that could help me through my situation. I called several lawyers for consultation and he seemed to be the only one that could give me clarity on the situation and wasn't trying to rush me to a decision. He gave me clear instruction on my options and the possible outcomes of those choices. Remember he doesn't have a crystal ball, but he has experience and knows the people in the court system. He knows the law. He knows what he is doing without a doubt, I have seen it first hand. It is hard to trust someone you don't know or haven't even met, but you can trust Attorney Milligan.

Wish I had found Jay Milligan years ago !!!

I felt confident having Jay handle my case from the minute I met him. During my initial meeting with him, immediately he understood my situation (a rather lengthy one, time-wise) and made it very clear what I/we had to do to have a chance at a favorable outcome. It was a lot of work for me and a ve...ry different approach from that undertaken by my previous attorneys. He made absolute certain that I was prepared for the hearing, calling me the night before as well as talking with me in person the day of. He was (and is) clear, concise and just positive enough throughout the entire process. I had, and still have the utmost confidence in Jay Milligan and HIGHLY recommend him as counsel for any alcohol-related driving offense. I imagine he is just as competent in any other area of the law in which he wishes to become involved. By the way, we did have a favorable outcome, and I owe it all to direction given and taken by Attorney Jay Milligan.
