I highly recommend Attorney James Milligan

Getting arrested for OUI, especially if you've never been arrested before, is scary and anxiety provoking. Therefore, you need an attorney who is an expert in this field to represent you. Attorney James Milligan is an expert and more. His self-confidence in his skills had the effect of calming me dow...n throughout the process. I'd say to myself "Jay has been doing this for 16 years, this is all he does, so if he says X is going to happen, the X will happen. Trust in Jay." Jay is very responsive, as he would call me back within a short time frame, even if he had to give up his lunch hour, evening or weekend. He even spoke with me after business hours. For example, I read something on the Internet that scared the heck out of me. I texted him on a Saturday, and didn't expect him to call me back until the following Monday. Sure enough, Jay called me within an hour. Talk about providing great customer service and showing compassion! In addition to his skills, the other praise I need to give Jay is that he really cares. He knows it's an awful time for you, and he tries to make it as least painful for you as possible. Jay is a great OUI attorney and I'd recommend him to anyone who has been arrested for driving drunk.

Couldn't believe this happened to me, grateful I had representation such as this.

I'm a 52 year old mom of 3 grown boys. No parking or driving tickets, nothing. Late in the morning on Thanksgiving 2013 my husband and I left my sisters house down the cape, only vehicle on the road and I get pulled over. My husband and I were unsure of which exit to take, as a result I went over ...the fog line multiple times. Just as I was putting on my blinker and began my exit off the road on to the appropriate highway exit. Blue lights. The officer asked where I was going and where I was heading and if I had anything to drink. I said I was coming from my sisters where we spent the holiday, that I was heading home and that I had a couple of glasses of white wine. He asked me to get out of the vehicle and walk to the back of the vehicle. At this point another officer had arrived for backup, he said he was going to give me the breathalyzer and it was in my best interest to do it. He then administered field sobriety tests. Which I did well on. Then I was told I was placed under arrest. At the station I was given the breathalyzer again, the sergeant said I was just over the legal limit, this was the first time they told me this. At this point it was hours from the original time of pulling me over. My husband bailed me out a few hours later. Early the next morning, I was in the courtroom pleading not guilty and foolishly saying I was representing myself. The judges reaction made me think twice about that. I am glad I did. When I got home I googled "best OUI attorneys on south shore" . The top two people came up, Mr Milligan and another. I called the other one first, left message. I called Mr. Milligan left message and immediately he called me back. By the time 6pm that evening he had already reviewed the police report I emailed him and he called me again and told me what he thought my chances were. I never did get a call back from the other attorney. Attny Milligan was able to get the breathalyzer thrown out as well as a sentence I said that they documented. Be patient and have faith. I was found not guilty within a half an hour by a jury.

Awesome representative

I could not be happier with the decision my family and I made having Jay represent me in court. He was professional, kept me informed, and I was very comfortable with him. My case went on for two and a half years and Jay was patient and up front with me. He never hid anything and was very upfront wit...h me of the possible outcomes . Overall, the case ended the way we had hoped -with a not guilty- and I don't think that would have been achieved without Jay!

Top notch

James Milligan was highly recommended to me by a close friend of my families. Of course dealing with law enforcement is always nerve racking but Milligan made it so much easier. He is a very honest man and says it how it is, explained everything to me as many times as I may have needed it (I needed a... lot). The way he dealt with my case was fantastic the results were what I wanted and he did not try to rip me off, which I was very worried about. I would definitely reccomend him to anyone, he's one of the best at his job. I could not thank him enough.

Very professional, honest, trustworthy, and calming

After getting arrested for a second DUI/OUI, I didn't know what to do, I was so scared of what the outcome for this could end up being. My nerves were all over the place and I was afraid of being sent to jail. Which is one of the things they tell you may happen after you receive your first DUI/OUI. ...I looked on this website and trusted my gut. James looked like a confident, nice and, trusting person. After meeting with him I knew he was the perfect person to help me through this nightmare. During our first meeting he was honest, told me exactly what to expect, and assured me not to worry. Throughout the year long process of trials, James was very professional and was always accessible whenever I felt nervous. Also, his paralegal Karen was very informative and understanding, which was a huge help as well. When my trial date finally arrived my mind was all over the place. My boyfriend tried to calm me down but it was James's confidence that helped the most. We decided to have a trial by jury, which was very scary. The outcome was NOT GUILTY! After hearing the jury I cried and gave James a hug of appreciation. I couldn't believe it was over, finally. I don't think I could've done it without the help of James and I am so grateful for his knowledge, understanding, and help. James's pricing for helping was alot but it was not unreasonable, considering this is my life on the line. Thank you so much.
