NO OTHER ATTORNEY LIKE MIKE!

My girlfriend already knew Mike and what she calls the (Miracle work attorney or 5 star service on call attorney). I was being charged for the first time in my life with two felonies. I had no idea what was about to happen and frankly although my girlfriend spoke so highly of him; Reality was that i ...was not in complete belief and was afraid to trust someone with my life, my future, my record.. On our initial phone call Mike broke everything down. The possible outcome, good and worst case scenario. He asked me if there was something we expected from him in this process what would it be? I quickly said I did not want to be a felon and i did not want to do jail time. He said very confidently that I could trust him to fight and do his very best to meet my needs.. Less than 3 months with a lot of communication and reassurance on his end; we got the call that my case was dismissed. There are no words to express the gratitude I have for Mike. We are forever in debt for his services and can't begin to express the relief he has given us. CASE COMPLETELY DISMISSED. Cases don't always work out in the end as well as yours did, but what is consistent is my honest assessment and discussion of the facts and circumstances with the client, which result in an agreed and realistic "litigation objective", and then painstaking effort at realizing our goal. Whether it's by trial (a "not guilty" verdict), motion (suppression of evidence, outright dismissal or a departure), fortune / luck (missing witnesses, lost evidence, time deadlines, etc) or, as in your case, through basic, hard fought pre-Arraignment discussions with the State, I will take the win on my client's behalf however I can lawfully earn it (including taking advantage of loopholes and exploiting technicalities to the client's benefit, provided that it is ethical to do so). You say that "There are no words to express the gratitude I have for Mike" (and I thank you), but there are, you have written and posted them for the cyber-world to see and I am as grateful to you as you are to me. Excellent attorney

Hi. My husband was convicted of drug trafficking in FL in 2012. After he got out of prison we moved to a different State. He got his driver license and we were all fine up until a few weeks ago when they wouldn't renew his license because Fl had a $38,000 hold against him from fines and costs from... his old FL case. I called the court and the DMV and then started looking for a Miami, FL lawyer to help. I found Michael Haber on google. I called him because we needed an attorney whom could do excactly just like his reviews said he would do, sure enough Mr. Haber immediately took my call. I told Mr. Haber that my husband needed his driver license now so while we were on the phone he looked up my husband's driver license and court case information and then he told me how long it would take and what it would cost to try to get it done. In just a few days Mr. Haber got the court's file (he emailed me copies of everything that he needed from the file), that same day he wrote a motion (he sent me a copy of that too) and then he was in front of the Judge 3 days later. Because of Mr. Haber the Judge removed the case from collections and reduced the money from $38,000 to the original $27,000 that was court ordered back in 2012. That very same day Mr. Haber not only got my husband on a $50 per month payment plan and got paperwork from the Clerk to clear the FL driver license suspension but he also went to DMV and reinstated my husband's FL driver license (and he emailed us copies of all of that paperwork too). So, in less than 2 weeks time my husband now has his driver license in our home State and we never even had to step foot in FL. Let me tell you that Michael Haber is an honest, fair, responsible and trustworthy lawyer. We appreciate him and we recommend him greatly. Thank you Mr. Haber!

Dear Anonymous, Thank you so much for your detailed and heartfelt Client Review (#HaberPA's 158th on AVVO). I don't pat myself on the back too often but as it turned out your husband's was a challenging case that wound up with an excellent result. It was difficult in that you had a dead line (needing immediate relief) and that I therefore had to rely upon my ability to juggle, work with and to some degree manipulate 3 separate entities: A) the Clerk of Court's Office - which I needed to be amenable, competent and cooperative, B) the Court - which I needed to display good will by invoking and using it's discretionary power for rapid equitable relief and C) FL-DMV - a traditionally impersonal and rigid entity with an unfriendly maze of endless bureaucracy. In the end (which was less than 2 weeks from the time of your initial contact) we were successful. Your family saved nearly 30%, your husband got his driver license back and my faith in the system "doing the right thing" was reinvigorated (believe me, when you do what I do daily, sadly you don't see this sort of result often enough). In this case Harvey Ruvin's Office (our Clerk of Court) was spectacular in it's assistance and efficiency, Judge Martin Zilber was exceptional in his understanding and willingness to ease your family's suffering and even DMV cut us great slack in letting me sneak into a line without an appointment to clear your hold and reinstate your driving privilege (so that your home State could be notified that FL was satisfied and you could get the DL that you sought). When my son was younger he used to watch a cartoon called "The Wonder Pets" and their theme was "what's gonna work... teamwork"; well that's what happened here. And as you now know there's plenty of thanks to go around, the greatest of which come from me to you; first for your leap of faith in hiring #HaberPA and permitting me the privilege of being of service and second for your awesome review. Outstanding Criminal Defense Attorney

From the first phone call to the Judges decision we knew we had finally found a lawyer that will FIGHT for your rights. This is a no nonsense guy who works hard for YOU giving of his time, expertise and experience. Shall I say SHARK! There is blood in the water! THIS MAN KNOWS THE LAW and will put ...forth his sharp knowledge for your legal rights. My husbands case was going nowhere (unfortunately we didn't find Mike Haber first) and my husband was caught up in a legal maze. As a government employee he was put on a "no-pay" status. Thank you Linda. Your husband's case was completely bumbled and, dare I say, incompetently handled, by his prior lawyer. It's tragic... almost as tragic as the p*ss poor police performance which resulted in his unlawful arrest. Fortunately, a relatively quick view of the locus in quo (sorry... "the crime scene") + a walk-through demonstration + a top-tier private investigator (who generated a digital recreation) + a comprehensive understanding of Florida's "Stand Your Ground" / self-defense law led to a rapid evidentiary hearing and a favorable ruling dismissing the case. But... you and your husband's continued belief, cooperation and understanding were clutch. In this case I engineered a "flank approach" to the case, and you helped by funding, organizing and seeing to fruition my vision. In the end we all did our jobs, and justice was served. Criminal defense lawyering is a team effort. I have a top-tier and irreplaceable partner and an extremely reliable and talented investigator, but both are worth a fraction of their weight without a client (and his wife) who serve as the glue that keeps it all together. Arguably the best criminal law attorney in Miami

I was charged with two felonies of grand theft and uttering a forged instrument in Dade County and interviewed several attorneys to take my case. Despite the unbelievable levels of stress and paranoia that the prospect of encarceration can bring, I was determined to carefully evaluate every attorney ...I met with and review their assesments of my case. From the very first time I called Michael, even before I had engaged his services, he gave me plenty of information and was the only one who, from the get go, pointed out the immigration implications of my criminal charges. Before becoming a client he even asked for the police report to confirm his assesment of my case and the possible scenarios I was facing. I have yet to meet an attorney who would be as objective and proactive as Michael was even before hiring his services. He himself suggested for me to talk to a few other attorneys before I made a final decision on representation. Needless to say I did and after three other meetings with different attorneys ranging from the dozen of thousands of dollars to more modest fees, I decided to hire Michael as he was the most knowleadgeable, confident and more importantly the most straightforward of them all. As a client, I kept reaching out to him for every step we were taking with my case and for every new piece of information I was compulsively googling about my case. His responses were always based on facts, statistics, his vast experience in Miami and in the context of my particular case. Michael had one of my felonies dismissed the same week I was charged. The second one dismissed after he negotiated my way into Pre-trial diversion. I was already convinced that I had hired a top attorney then but when I had my hearing, with Michael by my side the judge said verbatum in front of everyone at court "so you're the famous Michael Haber, when my prosecutors see your name they start shaking". I couldn't make this up, there were at least 30 people in that court room who witnessed a judge say that about the attorney representing me. After that everything was smooth sail. I did what I had to do and didn't do what I wasn't supposed to do, per Michael's instructions. I completed PTI and I'm about to retain Michael for expungement of my record. I compulsively research everything and everyone and Michael was very patient with me with my repetitive questions and realistic with the strategy of my case. I thank him for being firm and objective when my nervousness and paranoia were getting the best of me and for the top notch representation he provided me all the way.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for the awesome and detailed review. I have found that there are 2 types of criminal defense lawyers: There are those who blindly quote fees and then there are lawyers like myself, who take the time to fully (as fully as possible anyhow) A) understand the facts and circumstances of the case - both as alleged by the government and by the client, B) envision the various paths that are available to the client, C) come to understand the client's personal needs and position, D) educate the client so that a realistic objective - in light of both the government's case and the client's situation - can be targeted, E) formulate a plan to achieve the litigation objective and F) only then quote a legal fee which has been fairly tailored to the work to be performed in light of the client's chosen path. In 25+ years of criminal defense practice I have found that the key to a successful attorney-client relationship (actually I suppose that it is key to all meaningful relationships) is open and honest communication, and, as such, discourse is necessarily a 2-way street. So, not only do I keep my client fully informed, but I also listen to what my client has to say (for A) I do not presume to know everything, B) I recognize that the client looks at things through a different prism than I and C) no one is more vested in the outcome of the case than the client). I go into every case telling potential clients (just as I did with you) that the reviews they read online were all - each and every one - earned, that my end game is to earn their review at the conclusion of their case and that the decision-maker - the Judge of my legal services - is the client (meaning, if I do not deliver "as advertised" then you won't deliver a heartfelt and positive client review). So, in your case, it seems that the mission was accomplished. I am elated that you were happy enough with my services to merit such a rave review.
