I have been practicing for 30 years and I know and work well with everyone in the court system here in Volusia county. I was an Assistant State Attorney for ten years and have been in private practice for 20 years. I do not handle death penalty or serious cases because most of those are handled by the Office of the Public Defender. Those types of cases take up a great deal of time and leave less time to aggressively work upon a case you would more than likely need me for. I am most qualified in negotiations which are tailor made for the individual client. I work with the client's family to help defray costs and allow the client to have a highly qualified private attorney without breaking the bank.

Many clients are unaware of the consequences of criminal charges and are extremely nervous about going back to jail. I alleviate these fears and help the client work within the court system. I also help them put their lives back in order. This is the extra step I take and it helps people return to the family they love.

Often times a client is here temporarily, and I take care of them on behalf of their families. This leaves everyone feeling more secure. No one wants to be set adrift in a foreign jurisdiction without someone local to call for advice..even if it is not a legal question, I have been someone to turn to for information regarding this area. Once you are a client you may call me anytime, even ten years from now to help you remenber what happened and what to put on a job application, for example. Not many lawyers provide that level of service.

Always call Attorney Drees first!

Always hire an attorney who is the best in their field of expertise, and we were so grateful to have hired Catherine Drees to help with traffic violations. Her responsiveness, experience, knowledge of the court and the processes and quick action ended in a dismissal of the worst of the charges, with the others also being challenged. The anxiety was quite high but having Attorney Drees' representation alleviated that. Definitely call her before doing anything!

Thank God I Hired Catherine Drees to Represent My Son

Dealing with the law can be scary and dealing with Drug court can be even scarier. Catherine Drees represented my son in drug court and was able to get him the best possible outcome. She kept us informed and answered all our questions. She knows the law and and she knows all the players in a court room. As a mother of a young man it was a very important decision to hire a lawyer. Daytona's Finest Attorney

She's very helpful and knowledgeable . I had a coart case that had me worried sick . She put my mind at ease and took care of everything . I didn't have to see the court room till it was over . I would recommend here to anyone that needs a helping hand .

Attorney Drees is the best in Volusia County!

Catherine Drees responded to our call within 4 hours and set up a consultation. Her assistant Claudette followed up and the entire process was very professional. Upon hearing of our situation, she immediately knew what had to happen. My son was in a ticket dillema and didn't follow through with what he needed to do resulting in a suspension. Since he works full time and was lost on what to do next, Attorney Drees guided us through every step that we needed to take. My son (a Veteran) felt like he was being targeted because of the vehicle he drove. He had not fought any of his tickets and this resulted in his problem. She explained why you she fight every ticket and the result of doing so and the result in not doing so. Ultimately, a court date was given and we prepared for the worst. We received a phone call the next morning from her office that she had the tickets thrown out and their was no fine incurred. My son was in shock as was I. Needless to say Catherine Drees knows every facet of the law. Her experience left us feeling relieved and confident. I encourage you to call Catherine Drees before you make a decision in any situation you've gotten yourself into. The best Attorney I've known and used. She is the best!! Thank you Ms. Drees for helping us through a difficult time.

Look no Further!

If you find yourself in an unfortunate situation in Florida and need to hire a criminal attorney, look no further than the Office of Catherine Drees. I reside in PA and I had no idea who to consult - so I visited this AVVO site and found Catherine and her Legal Assistant, Claudette. Amazing!

We live in Georgia but my husband got in some trouble in Florida last year. I came to Avvo to find and attorney but what I found was so much more! Catherine took care or everything we never had to travel back to Florida for anything! Catherine and her assistant Claudette eased many of my fears and talked is through everything and I mean everything! I couldn't have asked for a better attorney. Catherine is Excellent

Catherine is an excellent attorney. I was being investigated for committing a very serious crime, even though I was innocent. Most attorneys that I spoke to were only interested in taking on a case only if one has been charged with a crime. To save my reputation, I needed an attorney to prevent that from happening. Her and her assistant Claudette were both very friendly and knowledgeable. They always responded to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. She helped get the case closed without charges being filed. I am very grateful that I found her.

I was arrested on felony and misdemeanor. She had my felony thrown out in 3 days. Her office staff is amazing and she didnt jerk me around. She is Honest and will tell you what to expect up front. I believe she is a " go-getter" and I have no complaints.
