My Lawyer The Hero!

I called Mike Haber, P.A. after getting in some trouble (unfortunately) that could have seriously changed the course of my life as well as future business endeavors. I will refrain from naming the legal issue; but, Mike handled my case with the upmost professionalism, never allowing me to feel defeat...ed, and always had a positive but realistic outlook on the outcome of my case. Needless to say, with Mike's vast legal knowledge and being a highly respected member of Miami's legal community my case was dismissed and expunged much sooner than we had thought. Fast and on time expungemen Attorney

If awards can be issued to expungement Attorneys, Michael Haber should be awarded one. This process is extremely complex in the state of Florida. But Michael has a system that streamlines everything, and I did it all from over 2000 miles away. If your in the middle of doing some research for someone ...to handle an expungement look no further because this is the guy to use. I’d give him 100 stars if I could.

Seal and Expungement work is, admittedly, not terribly complex (well, not like rocket science / NASA complex anyhow) but it certainly is detail-oriented, painstaking and time consuming. Fortunately for the client it can be done remotely (entirely by e-mail, snail mail and without any court appearances), and all that is need from afar is a little faith and patience. Best possible outcome

Never in my worst nightmares would I consider that I would need criminal representation. I was lost in a system I was unfamiliar with. I interviewed multiple attorneys and based on only a hunch picked one with real showmanship flair. That was a huge mistake and costly one at that. It became very clea...r I was not being represented by the “previous attorney’s office”. After ten months of being held on a no pay status with my professional career; a colleague referred me to Mr. Haber and once we spoke on the phone, it was clear that Michael Haber was the attorney I was looking for. From that point on I felt as though I would be represented and treated fairly and with supreme knowledge of the law. Mr. Haber and I spoke for what was easily over half an hour, and then he suggested what not a single other attorney to that point had; coming over to my house to personally observe my version of occurrences that evening. Upon completing the visit he had concluded that that I should take my case in another direction. He was very clear and knowledgeable of the law in respect to this new direction, after all he advised me that I was a victim in this case. Not one single attorney, to this point, considered to visit where the incident occurred, and personally walk through my version of events as well as interview eye witnesses. Michael advised me as no other attorney had. He initiated his research, had a technician come by the scene to diagram it, collected information “others” failed to do and set us on the right course. It was not an easy time for me, but Mr. Haber kept me informed, up to the minute, via constant and diligent communication. In court, there was an apparent air of respect for Mr. Haber, he professionally and clearly guided me through each proceeding. Although it was not easy for me, at least I knew what to expect. When the difficult decision to plea out or go to trial came, his firm, no-nonsensical approach kept me focused. His team provided an excellent presentation in court, and Michael Adam Haber and team accomplished what others could not and would not do. Michael’s guidance yielded me the “best possible outcome”. Michael is always available, dedicated, knowledgeable and street savvy; A very kind yet no-nonsense kind of man. His assertive nature makes him the best I know in his field. Truly a “Shark”. Mr. Haber recently had my case expunged. To this day my wife and I still consider him not only our attorney, but a friend. Honestly I would recommend no one else. Give him a call, you’ll understand.

Dear Nick, What can I say other than thank you. Your words are heartfelt, sentimental and more meaningful than I can express. So that the folks who are reading this understand, you spent a small fortune on a toothless tiger - a lawyer who took your case, your money and then tried to plead your case out (over a 10 month period while you sat, suspended from work, without pay and while your wife worked double shifts to compensate for your loss of income). You came to me by way of a personal referral on a complete fluke and we quickly determined that you had been wrongfully - and unlawfully - arrested by cops who had manufactured a bogus case against you to cover their own a**es (and for no reason more than that you had the temerity to both - literally - stand your ground and then verbally call them out on their lack of professionalism, training and respect). You were in the right in the moment, and when the State Attorney doubled-down on the officer's BS story, well the Judge formally ruled that you were in the right in the end too, granting you statutory immunity from prosecution and literally booting the case out of her courtroom. Me, I just did my job. I identified the problem, came up with a plan to remedy it and then did so with extreme prejudice (and inside of 3 months). You had the harder job of keeping your cool, coming to truly believe that while you were the Defendant on paper in reality you were the victim (first of unwarranted police aggression and then of a snake-oil salesman in a suit who effectively robbed and falsely imprisoned you), taking the witness stand with complete confidence in your victim-status, offering testimony in your own defense and doing all this knowing that if your lawyer got it wrong then you could be going to prison. It's a very difficult thing to do... to face the police and the prosecution, to put your freedom, your liberty, your very life in another's hands, and while I appreciate your praise and thanks, in this light it is I who should be thanking you. You took several leaps of faith, first in calling me, then in firing your obtuse lawyer "with real showmanship flair" so as to bring me on board and finally in trusting me to get you immunity from prosecution - and for all of that and more I thank you. After the war that we went through together you and your wife (and Bailey - your Labrador Retriever) are family. I just want to add that as much as I want to take credit it must be spread as my partner and my investigator were, as they always are, absolutely invaluable. I wouldn't accomplish 1/2 of what I do with out them (especially my partner). And a special shout out to you wife who was a rock for all of us (most especial you). Arguably the best criminal law attorney in Miami

I was charged with two felonies of grand theft and uttering a forged instrument in Dade County and interviewed several attorneys to take my case. Despite the unbelievable levels of stress and paranoia that the prospect of encarceration can bring, I was determined to carefully evaluate every attorney ...I met with and review their assesments of my case. From the very first time I called Michael, even before I had engaged his services, he gave me plenty of information and was the only one who, from the get go, pointed out the immigration implications of my criminal charges. Before becoming a client he even asked for the police report to confirm his assesment of my case and the possible scenarios I was facing. I have yet to meet an attorney who would be as objective and proactive as Michael was even before hiring his services. He himself suggested for me to talk to a few other attorneys before I made a final decision on representation. Needless to say I did and after three other meetings with different attorneys ranging from the dozen of thousands of dollars to more modest fees, I decided to hire Michael as he was the most knowleadgeable, confident and more importantly the most straightforward of them all. As a client, I kept reaching out to him for every step we were taking with my case and for every new piece of information I was compulsively googling about my case. His responses were always based on facts, statistics, his vast experience in Miami and in the context of my particular case. Michael had one of my felonies dismissed the same week I was charged. The second one dismissed after he negotiated my way into Pre-trial diversion. I was already convinced that I had hired a top attorney then but when I had my hearing, with Michael by my side the judge said verbatum in front of everyone at court "so you're the famous Michael Haber, when my prosecutors see your name they start shaking". I couldn't make this up, there were at least 30 people in that court room who witnessed a judge say that about the attorney representing me. After that everything was smooth sail. I did what I had to do and didn't do what I wasn't supposed to do, per Michael's instructions. I completed PTI and I'm about to retain Michael for expungement of my record. I compulsively research everything and everyone and Michael was very patient with me with my repetitive questions and realistic with the strategy of my case. I thank him for being firm and objective when my nervousness and paranoia were getting the best of me and for the top notch representation he provided me all the way.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for the awesome and detailed review. I have found that there are 2 types of criminal defense lawyers: There are those who blindly quote fees and then there are lawyers like myself, who take the time to fully (as fully as possible anyhow) A) understand the facts and circumstances of the case - both as alleged by the government and by the client, B) envision the various paths that are available to the client, C) come to understand the client's personal needs and position, D) educate the client so that a realistic objective - in light of both the government's case and the client's situation - can be targeted, E) formulate a plan to achieve the litigation objective and F) only then quote a legal fee which has been fairly tailored to the work to be performed in light of the client's chosen path. In 25+ years of criminal defense practice I have found that the key to a successful attorney-client relationship (actually I suppose that it is key to all meaningful relationships) is open and honest communication, and, as such, discourse is necessarily a 2-way street. So, not only do I keep my client fully informed, but I also listen to what my client has to say (for A) I do not presume to know everything, B) I recognize that the client looks at things through a different prism than I and C) no one is more vested in the outcome of the case than the client). I go into every case telling potential clients (just as I did with you) that the reviews they read online were all - each and every one - earned, that my end game is to earn their review at the conclusion of their case and that the decision-maker - the Judge of my legal services - is the client (meaning, if I do not deliver "as advertised" then you won't deliver a heartfelt and positive client review). So, in your case, it seems that the mission was accomplished. I am elated that you were happy enough with my services to merit such a rave review. Got more than my $$$'s worth

I had an old felony arrest from 1997 that I decided to expunge in 2015. I searched the web and found Mike Haber's YouTube webisode on expunging cases in Florida and then I saw his AVVO's legal guide, which is why I called him. He did a great, thorough job. Got more than my $$$'s worth!

I appreciate little more than praise for a job well done, BUT the facts that you were impressed with my YouTube Webisode series and that you read my AVVO Legal Guide are two such things. Ironically it was answering AVVO questions that prompted the YouTube Webisodes. After answering more than 6,000 questions on AVVO (note that I have presently answered about 7,200) and seeing patterns (many of the same issues pop up with consistently) I decided to make and publish simple, personal video answers to these questions. Unlike many of my AVVO answers (and certainly my AVVO Legal Guides) which tend to be longer winded, at present I have 45 short (I try to keep them at about the 1 minute mark) YouTube Webisodes, with many more planned (** please note that I also encourage folks to submit questions which I will happily address in future Webisodes). It is super encouraging to know that you found one, watched it, that it was helpful to you and that it prompted you to contact me so as to resolve your (way old) legal issue.
