Glad I had him in my corner

From the beginning, Mr. Haber answered all my questions and concerns in a timely and straightforward manner. I made a monumentally foolish mistake that risked putting my plea deal in jeopardy. His legal mind navigated me through this difficult time with a stern and effective approach culminating in a...voiding jail time. He was very clear with me though on the seriousness of the potential consequences of the choices I make. He's done all he could on his end at this point. It's now on me to make the right decisions, fulfill all my obligations, and get on with my life. To anyone reading this, I highly recommend Mike Haber's services. Dear Anonymous, I know precisely who you are and what you did, and without disclosing either any confidences or your identity I am going to use your case as a lesson for the folks who read this (I truly hope that this does not bother or offend you, and if it does then A) I apologize and B) just let me know and I will delete / re-write this reply). After 26 years in this business I reasonably foresee certain avoidable complications - such as risking driving for non-business purposes while you have a pending DUI and a restricted BPO license - and I go to great lengths to make sure that my clients understand these pitfalls. But, as the saying goes, "you can lead a horse to water...", and so all that I can do is to advise, prepare and warn you. I cannot control either your behavior or the consequences of your behavior. In your case you were exceedingly lucky (against all odds) but you could have, you should have in fact, not been so fortunate. So for those of you reading this, be it improperly driving on a BPO license or otherwise, if you have enough confidence to put your life / liberty into a lawyer's hands (not to fail to mention to pay her / him to defend you) then please, pretty please, heed the advise of your counselor at law. That said I am elated that you dodged a bullet, are not in custody and I wish that I could take credit for brilliant lawyering, but the truth is that you avoided a new substantive case and a virtually certain jail sentence by sheer luck. Noting that I've given you numbers 2 & 3 previously, following are some gratuitous final tidbits of advise : 1) Buy some Lotto tickets (hopefully your streak carries over long enough for you to cash in), 2) do what you are supposed to do, when and how you are supposed to do it and 3) DO NOT DO ANYTHING THAT YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO (caps intentional). Thankful I Hired Him

I just hired Michael Haber to assist me with a serious legal issue. Ever since I was arrested this past week, I've been reeling mentally and emotionally. I was scrambling calling a bunch of different legal services/lawyers and was stressed with finding someone I felt comfortable representing... me. Michael was extremely knowledgeable and detailed during our phone call about the nature of my case. He answered all of my questions and concerns. I first spoke with him on a Friday afternoon and needed to meet with him asap during Easter Weekend on Saturday. He accepted my request. The best other lawyers could do on such short notice was the following Monday (understandably so) and none were as thorough as Michael was. Additionally, I was unfortunately unable to avoid running a bit late for the meeting we had agreed to. Regardless he understood and assured me it was alright. I just hired him and I'm already incredibly impressed with not only his diligence and knowledge, but also his attentiveness, exceptional customer service, and just overall decency. He goes the extra mile for you. I feel like I'm in good hands and will hope for the best throughout this difficult time.

Case dismissed!! Thank you Mike!!!

While traveling back to Arkansas from the Keys I was stopped by the Miccosukee tribal police and charged with reckless driving, a CRIMINAL traffic offense requiring a court appearance in Miami-Dade county. I desperately called about 3 attorneys with positive AVVO reports late on a Friday afternoon a...nd Mike was the only one who returned my call immediately. He instantly put me at ease and gained my confidence. He let me know that I would not have to travel back to Florida and that he could handle everything on my behalf. He cited case law precedents that made me confident that he knew his business and could get my case dismissed, AND THAT'S JUST WHAT HE DID!! Throughout the process Mike was always available personally by cell, text or email. Not once did I have to talk with a secretary or other staff member. He kept me informed of every move, including strategically filing a motion so it would work in my favor.

Arguably the best criminal law attorney in Miami

I was charged with two felonies of grand theft and uttering a forged instrument in Dade County and interviewed several attorneys to take my case. Despite the unbelievable levels of stress and paranoia that the prospect of encarceration can bring, I was determined to carefully evaluate every attorney ...I met with and review their assesments of my case. From the very first time I called Michael, even before I had engaged his services, he gave me plenty of information and was the only one who, from the get go, pointed out the immigration implications of my criminal charges. Before becoming a client he even asked for the police report to confirm his assesment of my case and the possible scenarios I was facing. I have yet to meet an attorney who would be as objective and proactive as Michael was even before hiring his services. He himself suggested for me to talk to a few other attorneys before I made a final decision on representation. Needless to say I did and after three other meetings with different attorneys ranging from the dozen of thousands of dollars to more modest fees, I decided to hire Michael as he was the most knowleadgeable, confident and more importantly the most straightforward of them all. As a client, I kept reaching out to him for every step we were taking with my case and for every new piece of information I was compulsively googling about my case. His responses were always based on facts, statistics, his vast experience in Miami and in the context of my particular case. Michael had one of my felonies dismissed the same week I was charged. The second one dismissed after he negotiated my way into Pre-trial diversion. I was already convinced that I had hired a top attorney then but when I had my hearing, with Michael by my side the judge said verbatum in front of everyone at court "so you're the famous Michael Haber, when my prosecutors see your name they start shaking". I couldn't make this up, there were at least 30 people in that court room who witnessed a judge say that about the attorney representing me. After that everything was smooth sail. I did what I had to do and didn't do what I wasn't supposed to do, per Michael's instructions. I completed PTI and I'm about to retain Michael for expungement of my record. I compulsively research everything and everyone and Michael was very patient with me with my repetitive questions and realistic with the strategy of my case. I thank him for being firm and objective when my nervousness and paranoia were getting the best of me and for the top notch representation he provided me all the way.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for the awesome and detailed review. I have found that there are 2 types of criminal defense lawyers: There are those who blindly quote fees and then there are lawyers like myself, who take the time to fully (as fully as possible anyhow) A) understand the facts and circumstances of the case - both as alleged by the government and by the client, B) envision the various paths that are available to the client, C) come to understand the client's personal needs and position, D) educate the client so that a realistic objective - in light of both the government's case and the client's situation - can be targeted, E) formulate a plan to achieve the litigation objective and F) only then quote a legal fee which has been fairly tailored to the work to be performed in light of the client's chosen path. In 25+ years of criminal defense practice I have found that the key to a successful attorney-client relationship (actually I suppose that it is key to all meaningful relationships) is open and honest communication, and, as such, discourse is necessarily a 2-way street. So, not only do I keep my client fully informed, but I also listen to what my client has to say (for A) I do not presume to know everything, B) I recognize that the client looks at things through a different prism than I and C) no one is more vested in the outcome of the case than the client). I go into every case telling potential clients (just as I did with you) that the reviews they read online were all - each and every one - earned, that my end game is to earn their review at the conclusion of their case and that the decision-maker - the Judge of my legal services - is the client (meaning, if I do not deliver "as advertised" then you won't deliver a heartfelt and positive client review). So, in your case, it seems that the mission was accomplished. I am elated that you were happy enough with my services to merit such a rave review.
