Charged with a DUI

Jonathan Fisher is a very thorough and competent legal counsel who always had my best interests in mind. In my first conversation with him he was very clear as to what he could do for me, not giving any false hopes. He said he would try his best, and he certainly did! He achieved the best possible o...utcome for my case, which was beyond my expectations. My arrest was for a DUI and refusal of breathalyzer. Jonathan managed to reduce the charges to a reckless if I pleaded to the refusal, which I did. Shortly there after he was able to expunge my arrest records. Jonathan always kept me well informed updating me throughout the process letting me know what was involved in each step. He communicated clearly and concisely making sure that I understood my options and addressed all my questions making me comfortable with his approach. Exhibiting integrity, honesty and a great knowledge of traffic law, Jonathon Fisher was always thinking of what more could be done to help my case. He exercised good judgment in deciding the best course of action to pursue and utilized sources critical to achieving a positive outcome. He never missed a scheduled court date and always took my calls. I felt I was in good hands. I was very happy with my representation and impressed with the outcome of my case. I definitely recommend Jonathan Fisher to anyone in need of his services.

Great lawyer gets the result we needed!

Our son in college suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and was prescribed several medications for headaches and pain relief. Three days after being released from the hospital he made the unfortunate decision to drive a vehicle resulting in a minor traffic accident and a DWI arrest. We contacted... Jonathan Fisher and could tell he had the experience and confidence to help us get to the desired outcome, so we hired him to represent our son. As the trial date became closer, Jonathan did his best to make a satisfactory deal with the prosecutor. However, the prosecutor would only offer reckless with possible jail-time. Jonathan assured us we could do better, and we didn’t hesitate to follow his recommendation to take the case to trial in Montgomery County. As our son’s case finally began, we listened intently as the prosecutor called his witnesses. When the prosecutor rested his case, it was finally time to hear Jonathan tell our son’s side of the story and establish his defense. Jonathan’s first action was to call a motion to strike the case due to a technical error committed by the prosecutor, and the judge consequently granted the motion to strike. Our son’s case was dismissed and he was free to go! Jonathan’s expertise and attention to details of the testimony allowed him to see an opening and he quickly capitalized on it giving us the result we needed. Jonathan Fisher is clearly an expert in the field. He really knows his subject matter and can think quickly and decisively in the court room leading to the results you need. We highly recommend hiring him for your case!

Jonathan Fisher

Mr. Fisher got my 2nd DUI in 10 years reduced to a reckless driving charge. He was always kind, informative and available. He came to Appomattox County and got me the results I was hoping for.

Amazing lawyer

I am 20 years old and was on my way to Virginia Beach to see my husband who had just joined the navy. I lost focus and was clocked going 97 miles per hour in a 60 zone in Appomattox County and charged with reckless driving. I made the long trip to court and when there the judge told me since a ...jail sentence was possible on this criminal reckless driving charge, I could get a lawyer. I asked for a court appointed lawyer due to finances, but none was available that day and I was going to have to come back. Just then Mr. Fisher stood up and told the judge he would try to help me. He was there on another case. He met with me and my husband. After talking to the prosecutor and officer he got them to agree to reduce it to a regular ticket, improper driving. People go to jail there at that speed on a regular basis. We asked Mr. Fisher if we could pay him anything and he just said no and that he was happy to help a military family. We were surprised but very thankful for his help that day. I would recommend him to anyone because it's clear he really cares.

Realistic, Knowledgeable, Experienced and Willing to Fight for You

I was charged with reckless driving 117 in a 70, which is jail time. I called every lawyer in the state of VA that offered free consultation and Jonathan Fisher was by far the most knowledgeable person I spoke to. His price is more expensive than most, but it is by far worth every penny. I hired him ...on as my attorney and he handled everything from then on. Mr. Fisher was able to talk prosecution down to no jail time, and nothing on my record if I agreed to a fine and community service. During negotiations with prosecution, Mr. Fisher was excellent in that he continued negotiations until there was an outcome I was satisfied with. There was never a doubt in my mind that Mr. Fisher had my best interests first and foremost in his mind and was willing to fight for them. Throughout the entire process he was non-judgmental and more than willing to work with me whenever I needed it. He is quick to respond to emails or return phone calls. He was willing to take time out of his personal life to talk with me whenever I had questions or needed reassurance. I would highly recommend him for any traffic violation you are facing.

I was really proud of this case. I've gotten cases dismissed at higher speeds on technical grounds, but this was the fastest case I've been involved with where the judge thought there was enough evidence to convict and we still found a path to avoid a reckless. This in a county where the normal result is 1 day in jail for every mph over 100. I pride myself on trying to get judges and prosecutors to see my clients as more than just a speed number. It was my pleasure to help the court to realize that this fine young person deserved this break.
