Jeremy M. Saland

I live in Texas. I have a firearm and a Second Ammendment right to legally own and possess my weapon. I don't use it to hurt, mame or menace others. Upon returning from my visit to NYC, I flew out of JFK Airport. Just as the airline and TSA told me, I declared my firearm in its hard case. Fortunately..., there was no ammunition but unfortunately the Port Authority Police arrested me for a felony charge of Criminal Possession of a Firearm. After getting out of jail I retained Jeremy and Crotty Saland PC. Yes, I had to spend time and money getting out from underneath a felony arrest, but in the end Jeremy took the steps and made the efforts to resolve my case without a criminal conviction or record. Other than the fact I am upset about this case, I am beyond happy happy and grateful for Jeremy's work.

Mr. Saland exceeded our expectations. We recently found ourselves in a position where we needed an attorney for our son. Jeremy Saland saved me from a blatant lie and fabrication by my former wife. I was arrested for numerous felonies including Kidnapping and Stalking. The DA "offered" me ten years in prison at one point and I was looking at five to twenty five years if I was convicted. My ex claimed I abducted her at ...knife point. There was even a witness who claimed that she heard me threaten to kill my ex's family. Although there was no knife recovered by the police I did have rope, duct tape and zip ties in my car. Instead of the DA's Office doing a thorough investigation, Jeremy did. Despite my ex saying she wanted no contact with me, had not been to our old apartment and did not expect me to show up at her house, Jeremy got my landlord to testify at trial that he saw her at the house multiple times a week and more before, heard her ask me to come over to move furniture and saw me using the rope and tape on furniture in my car when I was moving it. We even found old texts with her acknowledging she had sex with me the week before the arrest. I was terrified, but Jeremy was communicative, patient and on top the case. After a two week trial the DA dropped the felony Stalking charge because Jeremy discredited my ex and her witnesses. I testified and Jeremy prepared me. Within about two hours after summations the jury acquitted me of everything. My life and freedom was on the line but I refused to plead to anything. I did nothing wrong. You do not know fear until you are in this type of situation. Jeremy believed me and stood by me. Even more important, Jeremy had the skill to convince the jury of that as well. I cannot thank him enough for protecting me - an innocent man

I was arrested and charged with two felonies while transitting through LGA in NYC with my legally owned firearm. Due to NYC's draconian gun policy and having some past convictions as a young man I was viewed and treated with bias by the ADA and judge at the arraignment. The prosecutor assigned to the... case was reluctant to reduce my charges to anything less than a misdemeanor due to my past troubles. Jeremy remained confident and hung in there for the good fight. He was able to have the felony charges reduced down to a disorderly conduct, a violation and not a criminal conviction. I found Jeremy to be astute and very familiar with "the process" of the NYC "justice" system. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who finds themselves on the receiving end of criminal charges.

After being arrested and charged in NYC, Jeremy from Crotty & Saland managed to get my time down from what was originally a 2-6 year charge from the prosecutor down to 6 months (A significant difference) based on excellent advice he had given to me and his ability to communicate effectively with the ...presiding judge and DA. The most important thing that made Jeremy stand out was his ability to make me feel calm about the situation even while I was detained and that he was always able to be contacted so if I had any questions or query's I was able to get in contact with him, something many others were unable to do with their attorneys.
