Andrew defended me after my DUI arrest. Andrew explained in detail, what just happened, what was going to happen, and what outcomes were possible and preferred. At a time when it seemed I had past the point of no return, Andrew charted a course for me which allowed me to regain my power, my focus, and my decision-making capacity. Andrew and his staff have a disciplined approach to providing defense. At each step, the criminal and civil process was explained clearly to prevent surprise and importantly, unnecessary angst. I found the staff to be polite, discreet, and on the same page with Andrew each step of the way. Specifically, Andrew ensured that he or one of his staff was with me at each moment at the courthouse. It was clear from this action, and his communications that he was 100% behind his client. Andrew looked ahead toward his meeting with the Prosecutor and ensured that any possible action I could take in my favor was communicated to me. His advanced planning allowed for completion of some requisite steps and quite possibly, these steps led to favorable consideration by the State.

Andrew is great. If you have concerns and need answers, he makes himself available to answer. He is also realistic and upfront. He recently addressed a concern I had with my probation fees, which resulted in a nice refund in my pocket. I wouldn't hesitate to refer him to anyone looking for an experienced and excellent DUI attorney.

Andrews team was amazing! Couldn't ask for a better lawyer. Andrew was very knowledgeable about the deferred prosecution. He answered all my questions and put me at ease. He always put my needs first and gave good advice on different treatment centers. So far everything has worked out exactly how he said it would! I'm very thankful for him and his team!!!

I had a fairly minor accident in the winter that resulted in a first-offense DUI charge in Clark Co. I had never before been arrested for anything in my life. I'd never had an encounter with the law more complex than a moving violation. Needless to say, the experience was anxious and intimidating. I had almost no idea what to do or expect.
I called Andrew's office the following morning. Before I ever met or spoke to Andrew, his knowledgeable staff helped me understand what lay ahead and put my mind at rest. I chose a DUI specialist because when the stakes are high enough, you really want someone who deals with your problem (and far worse) every day, who knows all details, realities, options, someone who is not likely to be surprised. But there are intangible benefits to working with Andrew. The impression I had was that he is known and respected by everyone you'll encounter along the way. Not only does he know the law, he knows the ins and outs of the local system in detail. And a fixed-fee arrangement for first offenders meant that I could make strategic decisions without worrying about racking up enormous legal fees.
And don't underestimate the number of hoops you'll have to jump through on your own in the best of cases, from an alcohol evaluation to dealing with the DOL. Andrew and his staff know this stuff backwards. As I've begun to come out the other end of the tunnel, I can finally give them a break with my endless questions, the answers to all of which were probably spelled out for me before in writing. But I've never failed to get a timely answer by phone or e-mail, and they've patiently shepherded me through every step.
At an early stage, I realized that my best bet was to entrust myself to Andrew's care, follow his instructions and take his advice. In the end, I received a light and fair sentence, and I doubt things could have come out much better. If you need a DUI laywer, I highly recommend Andrew Wheeler.

In late January 2016, I was arrested for driving under the influence. At 55 years old, and having never been in a situation like this before, the circumstances were very overwhelming to say the least. The arrest, booking and processing, a night in jail, my car towed and impounded, posting bail, phone calls to family and work, impending court appearance, all of it was too much to handle at one time. Not fully recognizing the immensity of what was about to begin, and never before having to do so, finding an attorney to represent me was not a part of my thought process.
After bond was posted and I was released, paying the bail bondsman was the first step. It was there that that I was handed two business cards for attorney representation. I was told that securing an attorney would be a wise decision to make. That’s when I called Andrew Wheeler. With my court appearance scheduled for the following day, Andrew made time to immediately meet with me and discuss my situation. He listened closely to the events that got me to this point, and outlined what I should expect going forward with regards to the criminal and civil proceedings. All the criminal and civil discussion was very foreign to me, but what caught my attention was his 10 years, and 1,300 cases, of exclusive DUI defense. To me that meant expert, and I asked Andrew to represent me. The very next day he was by my side at my first court appearance, and to this day I have not regretted the decision.
Personally, I didn’t think I had a chance of avoiding a DUI conviction. But at the time, I didn’t realize Andrew’s commitment to the best interests of his clients or his personal conviction to reviewing all the specifics of his client’s case. Through his determined efforts and attention to detail, he uncovered a procedural error in the booking process video he viewed. He presented his findings to the prosecuting attorney, and what clearly appeared to be a “Gross Misdemeanor” DUI conviction (maximum 364 days in jail and a $5,000 fine), was negotiated down to a “Simple Misdemeanor” Negligent Driving in the 1st Degree (maximum of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine). Not only was the charge reduced, through Andrew’s excellent work, the Simple Misdemeanor judgement resulted in a reduced fine fee, one day of work crew, two years of unsupervised probation, and most importantly, no loss of driver’s license.
Through the entire process Andrew kept my best interests his priority. He was diligent, informative, communicative and professional. I was never left with the feeling of “what’s next” because his timely direction was always clear and concise. I followed all of his recommendations and directives as they were communicated to me, and throughout the process Andrew Wheeler earned my respect and admiration.
Without pause, I highly recommend Andrew Wheeler as legal representation in DUI cases.

We talked over my case, Mr Wheeler had recommendations that I should follow through with. I fulfilled those duties he made a case at court and charges were later dismissed. I felt I was always aware what was going on in my case and communications were great between Mr. Wheeler and I. Great experience overall.

I would recommended Mr. Wheeler to anyone facing DUI. I had a 3 1/2 year old warrant that I was totally unaware of from a DUI/Deferred prosecution from 2008. He did the research and discovered the issues that caused the warrant. He came up with a game plan and he was able to not only get my revoked Deferred reinstated but seen by the court as completed. Long story short, warrant cancelled and case dismissed. He was honest with me and answered any of my concerns.

I did a detailed review three years ago after Andrew helped me get through my case. Today I am a free man thanks to Andrew - my final penalty, having an SR-22 on file with Washington State, ran for three years from my sentencing in 2013 to yesterday, May 17, 2016. I am personally celebrating my getting through this, and continue to be grateful for the extraordinary, informed and professional advice and support Andrew gave me up from the days immediately following my arrest through my sentencing. He has continued to make himself available for email questions during the past three years regarding my car insurance and license. I would definitely use his services again if I (knock on wood) ever needed them, and I would recommend that anyone who wanted to get the best outcome possible in a DUI or related situation retain his services.
