Kathryn Jacy Thayer

Jacy Thayer is praise-worthy attorney who I originally retained for a DUI in 2015. She was able to move my trial out so I could take a vacation. She clearly explained that the DOL was different from the courts and still represented me when I got a Driving while Suspended however she was able to get... it Dismissed. She has been a continual resource for questions regarding travel, deferred program compliance procedures. Today November 28th, 2017 she just advocated on my behalf when I was at an impasse with my corrections officer who was fighting my travel plans. Back in May when I represented myself the State wasn't going to allow my request to travel but did conditionally. (I had to submit a breathalyzer test in court and the judge told me to UA the day before my trip and the day after my return.) Today with Jacy Thayer's expert knowledge of deferred procedures she got me off of the colorline and made it apparent that I was never required to request permission in front of a judge and that I was getting bullied by my PO. I think the judge thought so too as he had no record that I should have to go in front of a judge to get permission yet this was the 3rd time I was doing so. Jacy Thayer takes a tough and knowledgeable approach and demonstrates good client-side manor; that comes from divine understanding of the concept that just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. In my case made her see through the run around I was getting even if I couldn't see it because I didn't know what was normal. Hire Jacy Thayer she will see it through. She answers emails in a timely manor. She gets results that are better than what you would be facing hiring someone else or representing yourself. I probably could have received some secondary charges but did not thanks to her ability to articulate legally and concisely a clear path for her client to not waste the court's time. She is a valuable defense.
