He is an active member of St. Patrick's Parish in Pasco. He and his wife Sofia have three children, Patricio, Elena, and Catalina Roach. He is a former Vice President of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and also a former board member. He is a former Board of Directors Member for Catholic Family and Child Services of the Tri-Cities, is an active volunteer for Tri-Cities Preparatory School, including as coach for the school's YMCA Mock Trial team.
