I was referred to Mr. Wheeler from a very reliable acquaintance. Never being in any legal trouble and not knowing how to handle or manage a scenario like the one I got my self into I needed help. I've made a few bad choices in my life but choosing Andrew Wheeler to represent me in my DUI case was not one of them. The guy knows his stuff! During the free consultation he explained the entire process from beginning to end in a clear, straightforward manner that was easy to understand. He and... his staff maintain a high level of professionalism and, quite surprisingly, were also very personable , courteous, and friendly. His office is located near the court bounding and both times I had to appear Mr. Wheeler met me at his office, updated me about the case and what to expect next, then personally walked me down to the courthouse. The outcome was far better than I'd hoped for! Not only did he get DUI charge reduced, he also filed an appeal to the original DOT decision and won the argument. Other than the filing fee charged by the DOT. there was no extra charge for the appeal. The result: No mark on my driving record and no requirement to carry expensive SR-22 insurance. It was a brisk evening in January, I had just left the establishment after meeting with good friends. They had invited me over to their home to pick up the Christmas presents they had purchased for my family. We were leaving together and they pulled out in front of me.... For what ever reason I tho...ught it would be funny to honk my horn at them.... The officer that had pulled in behind me didn't seem to find it as humorous as I did. Busted, for honking a horn no less...... The next couple days were as painful as any other I have ever had in my life. I had no idea which way to turn, I didn't want to ask advice from family members as I was super embarrassed as it was. I met with an attorney that the friends I was out with recommended, ( she works in the system) I actually liked him but something didn't quite seem right. I had a phone interview with another and when asking about his fee structure, it was like he was guessing at numbers. I ran across Andrews review here on AVVO and was intrigued that he only works with DUI cases. I made an appointment and after his presentation I "KNEW" this was going to be my attorney. He was matter of fact, had timelines, he could tell me what judge I was going to be seeing by my apperance date having only heard it seconds earlier. He knew which prosecuter would be handling my case and gave me a very professional opinion on what he thought my chances were. He was $1000.00 more than the other attorney I had interviewed, but I knew it would be worth it. He was always on time for my appearances, he was the best dressed in the court room. On one occasion I heard another attorney ask Andrew for his opinion on his clients case. My sister works in Clark County in a capacity where she is familiar with Andrew and she thinks very highly of him. She told me " you made a good choice " Ultimately Andrew got my DUI reduced to wreckles driving, I was given 3 days in jail for that privilege. Funny thing is, I checked in with a gentleman who did not use Andrew. He received the DUI, he had to have ignition interlock, he was given 48 hours minimum lock up. Now for the funny part, the way the system works, I spent less time in jail than he did because he had 48 hours minimum. Andrew positioned me so that I checked in at 10pm on Friday night, and was released Sunday morning at 7am... I can not say enough good things, after my initial meeting with Andrew I slept easy, I knew I was in good hands
