Private and Federal student loan

I had a conversation with Joshua about my private and federal student loan and he pretty much solve all my problems just by a 30 mins consult. My mind is totally in peace now because he answered all my questions and I am ready to solve all my student loan problems.

First Consult

Joshua Cohen is excellent, as advertised. Well worth the $250 consult fee. If you have a Student Loan MESS/MONSTER such as I do, or even are just confused - he can clear it up. He suggested and explained options I hadn't considered, helped me under stand the limits I face too. He's a good commun...icator and listens well to your specific situation. Most of all he knows THIS legal niche' --knows it well and is perhaps THE 'answer' for you if you are confused by other attorneys who don't really know Student Loans. I wish I had called J. Cohen FIRST and 90 days ago, because I would be months ahead if I did. IF you are AT ALL insecure about handling your SL mess or default, call Joshua Cohen first.

Joshua was really great up front and had a lot of optimism. However, he failed to help in any material way with the rehabilitation of my student loans and after the initial consultation he was essentially impossible to get a hold of. He also attempted to coerce me into executing legal and financial s...trategies that I clearly informed him I was incapable of (including a 20% "down payment" on my remaining loan balance to get future discounts). He's a really nice guy on the surface but his competency is questionable. FINALLY, HE LOWKEY PRESSURES ALL OF HIS CONSULTS TO WRITE GOOD REVIEWS RIGHT AFTER CONSULTATION. I DID!!!! SO BE CAREFUL ABOUT THIS 4-5 STAR RATING, IT MAY BE SPECIOUS. MANY MANY THUMBS DOWN FOR THIS INCOMPETENT ATTORNEY.

Dr. Markow, I'm sorry your experience was not what you expected. I've reviewed my communications, including e-mail and notes and see we haven't spoken in over a year. I'm not sure what precipitated this but I am happy to address it. I'll also admit that you were with me through staff changes which may have caused a hic-up or two. But in the end, I've always been available to you and to keep the train moving forward. Lastly, I really don't know what the 20% down payment issue is. I would never ask you or suggest you do anything you can't do financially since that is what gets most clients into the situation they are in when we first talk. I recorded our analysis for a reason - to be sure we are both clear about expectations. I also encourage e-mail exchanges after the call to have everything in writing. That said, I'm available to discuss this offline and tie up any loose ends that may exist.

Everything you wished all lawyers would be

So to start, I never even got to the consultation itself. And that's because Josh told me, based on my requests and my situation, there wasn't much that could be done. He offered to go over my loans and provide other general advice. But since my question had been answered, I declined. He then refunde...d my fee. I'm overgeneralizing a bit, but honestly I never expected to get my money back. Josh could have easily looked over my file, taken the consultation, told me the same thing in 30 seconds, and kept the fee. But he didn't! And that's what makes him a great person and worth every penny you might pay for his services. Because now you know that he'll only work with you if he thinks he can really make an impact in the areas you need him. 10/10 would recommend
