Michael Donivan Evans

Hired this lawyer for more then fifteen thousand dollars for a very serious case I paid flat rate to go through trial. He had a team or lawyers at the time so I felt confident. After going through preliminary hearing we got a plea deal of 5-10 years. After this hearing all of Michael Evans lawyers qu...it his practice, this was the first red flag. The next red flag was that the plea deal was not changing up to a week before trial, it was almost like Mike Evans was hoping I would take that deal and never offered to negotiate beyond that. He cancelleed meetings with me and About 6 days before trial I get a text message stating he is no longer practicing law and my case would be reset. This was devastating news at the time. I had a meeting with him in which he told me I would get less then 10% of my money back and his recommendation to me was a public defender. Long story short I never saw any of that 10% from him and in the end he sent me a bill for 180$. Worst lawyer to get tied up with. Would recommend avoiding him or any of his associates that endorse him on anything!

I cannot say enough about the Evans Lawfirm. I was pretty scared about what could happen to my life, including my career, job, and license in the mental health field. Michael was so passionate about my case, he offered to take it to trial free of charge to us IF he happened to lose. Trust me, I wante...d to go to trial so badly, but needed to take the Plea Deal out of fear of losing my job and license, even though I believe I am innocent. He and Casey walked me through everything, step by step, and made sure I understood everything. They never pressured me to do anything I didn't want to and even after my case has been over, Mike has been kind enough to answer questions free of charge. Mike makes you feel like you are in the best hands you can be, and that he is not going to let anybody mess with you. It's a really good feeling. I'm so happy I chose him, and will chose him again, no questions asked, if God-forbid I ever need another lawyer. BTW, my original charge was a Simple Assault Charge and they got it down to 6 month deferred sentence with plea of Harassment. Much better than having an Assault Charge on my record. And it could have been completely dismissed if I would have agreed to go to trial. Thank you for everything Mike and Casey. You have given me peace of mind throughout this entire process and that is worth its weight in gold.

The Evans Firm is an amazing group of lawyers and did everything they could to help me get through a very difficult case. I was facing 8 counts of child abuse and a class 2 felony with mandatory prison for extraction of marijuana concentrates. Casey and the team at the Evans Firm put myself and my family at ease during the entirety of the case. I was very happy with the results from the court proceedings. The team was highly responsive in email and/or phone form. I know that I asked a great deal of neurotic and crazy questions since legal ...issues were not something I've ever dealt with in the past.
