Please do Not put your life in her hands for representation. We found her flippant and dismissive once she was paid and the closer to the court date we got. She ignored the obvious and made it seem like they work as a team but she was not responsive to other attorneys input. Not worth the risk! Pleas...e seek a different attorney for your own good.

I was arrested and charged with a felony and a misdemeanor under the domestic violence category in Adams County, Colorado. Another attorney was initially hired. Ultimately, I felt I was not receiving the communication and attention I was comfortable with. This other attorney worked headline cases: ra...pe, murder, conspiracy. Mine did not fit that category. I began researching and interviewed several attorneys. Nikea Bland made me feel comfortable and confident that she was the right attorney for this type of case. I never questioned whether switching attorneys was the right decision. If you have questions, ask them. You need to understand what is happening. Lawyers will use their lingo but if you don’t understand something, Nikea will explain. She will also explain why she recommends a certain path. We worked on negotiations with the DA, but ultimately I took the case to trial. Nikea was well prepared and knew the details of the case. She knew what to expect from the prosecution and from the witnesses. Her defense of me at trial was exactly what I hoped to see. The jury returned quickly with a NOT GUILTY verdict on both counts. The staff at the O’Malley Law Firm were also polite and professional.

I have watched Nikea prepare, try, and win a criminal case before a jury. As a trial lawyer myself, I could see the time and effort she put into each phase of the case. I was particularly impressed by her skill in the courtroom. It can be hard to find an attorney who excels in both the prep work a...nd the presentation, but Nikea does that. And she really cares about her clients -- which is critical in convincing a jury to acquit a defendant. I refer clients to her and I would call her first if any of my family or friends needed a criminal attorney.
