Worst experience ever

Hired this lawyer for more then fifteen thousand dollars for a very serious case I paid flat rate to go through trial. He had a team or lawyers at the time so I felt confident. After going through preliminary hearing we got a plea deal of 5-10 years. After this hearing all of Michael Evans lawyers qu...it his practice, this was the first red flag. The next red flag was that the plea deal was not changing up to a week before trial, it was almost like Mike Evans was hoping I would take that deal and never offered to negotiate beyond that. He cancelleed meetings with me and About 6 days before trial I get a text message stating he is no longer practicing law and my case would be reset. This was devastating news at the time. I had a meeting with him in which he told me I would get less then 10% of my money back and his recommendation to me was a public defender. Long story short I never saw any of that 10% from him and in the end he sent me a bill for 180$. Worst lawyer to get tied up with. Would recommend avoiding him or any of his associates that endorse him on anything!

PROFESSIONALISM at its BEST!!!

Great attorney

DV cases can be confusing but there was one thing that became clear early on, Micheal is serious about providing you the best defense he possibly can. Court is frustrating. Often times things don't go as planned and the prosecution / victims advocates can make things even more difficult. However i...n my case even when we hit these speed bumps Michael kept working to provide a great defense and fight for what he felt was right. I would highly suggest him to anyone facing criminal charges.

All expectations met

From the first day we met Mike worked with me to establish reasonable expectations for my case and in the end they were met. That's what anyone should want from an attorney.

I recommend Michael Evans

Michael Evans was friendly yet very professional. I was comfortable talking to him about any issue. He listened, thoroughly discussed my options, and gave solid recommendations on how to proceed. His expertise was valuable. He was able to negotiate with the DA to reduce the plea-deal even further..., and still avoid any trial. His costs were reasonable (compared to others we contacted), and when we did not use all of the retainer he refunded us the difference. I felt he was very fair. I am happy that I selected Michael, and recommend him to others who need a criminal lawyer.
