I hired Chris to take care of a case for me. I saw his ratings & thought he would be a great attorney. The consultation went perfect & he gave me such hope that he would always look out for my best interest & that he is always swift in staying in touch. I felt I wasted several thousand hiring him. It is really unfortunate that with a website as awesome as AVVO fake, libelous reviews can and do still come in. I've known Chris for a long time. He is one of the most reputable attorneys on AVVO. His clients love him. I have referred cases to him not only because of his skill and expertise, but because of his compassionate nature and generous spirit. I always know anyone I send to him will be in good hands, and no one I have referred to him has ever been disappointed. It is sad that my kind, brilliant colleague is leaving the practice of law due to his health problems, as he has helped so many thousands of people daily on the AVVO website, in addition to his private practice. We are at a great loss to say goodbye to this brilliant man in the legal profession. At least his legacy will live on in the form of all the many thousands of questions he has answered, free of charge, for those in need. Chris, thank you so much for all you have done for our profession. You are a true humanitarian.

I have been going through a custody case for a few years now and it had been stressful. I came across Attorney Leroi and he was a blessing in my case! He responds quickly when needed and you can sit back and he handles everything for you. I dealt with the other party and his attorney trying to bully ...

Chris Leroi is a prince among men. An attorney with compassion and knowledge. An attorney who goes out of his way with philanthropy for his fellow-man. He knows the law, but practices grace. He is not only my lawyer, but he is my friend. After representing me in a criminal trial, we became frien...

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2014.
Reciprocal - Stayed Suspension issued in MN, 2014
updated on 01/09/2015This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state, or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in Minnesota. Stayed suspension means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The suspension is placed on hold (and ultimately removed) if the attorney complies with certain requirements. The State also monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
“This was the exact same situation as the Colorado incident and needed to be reported to the State of Minnesota, even though I am INACTIVE in MN. As such, it is NOT another ethical violation whatsoever. MN simply adopted the 2 years of probation ordered by Colorado and did NOT suspend my license. This is NOT an additional ethical violation. I have practiced for 22 years with no violations. I lectured a woman on road rage and the Ethics Committee in CO said I should have called the police instead.”
Suspension Stayed Placed on Probation issued in CO, 2014
updated on 03/28/2017Suspension stayed means the attorney has been disciplined, but that the suspension is placed on hold (and ultimately removed) if the attorney complies with probation requirements.
“This incident was based on activity that had nothing to do with the practice of law. A woman was endangering people in our local community by engaging in dangerous driving and "road rage" behavior. At a traffic light, I lectured her on the dangers of road rage. She then said that "road rage" simply does not exist. I brought up "road rage" cases that I was personally involved in as a pubic defender, judge, prosecutor, and private attorney. The attorney regulation counsel said such was improper.”
