A divorce lawyer helps you if you no longer want to be married. Whether you want a legal separation or the marriage ended, divorce lawyers assist you to arrange financial and family matters, typically in a negotiation with your spouse's lawyer. Alimony, child custody, child support, and a fair division of community assets (like who keeps the house or how your checking and savings accounts are divided) are matters that a divorce lawyer is trained to help determine.

Beast in courtroom & a gentleman on the streets

I cannot speak highly enough of Wail and his team. I worked with Wail on my international child custody case over the course of 6 years. It was a VERY complex case with many moving parts and a lot at stake. Wail was patient and DID THE WORK. Marlene (Hi Marlene!) and his paralegal team worked li...ke a well-oiled machine, leaving no stone unturned. He was empathetic, humane and understanding. He made his money, as lawyers do, but at no point did I feel, that I and my children were just a dollar sign him. Wail cares and that no something you can say about most attorneys. He was aware of my financial constraints and was able to advise me strategically on the path that would yield the best results while doing least damage financially. All this said, the man was a BEAST in the courtroom! [Wail! We need to get our daughters together before they grow up! Stay in shape and keep chewing that gum. lol. Call me! Thanks buddy.]

Divorce? Absolutely Best Attorney ... EVER! Stop here, you found the right one.

I wasted money on a "regular" attorney before I found Wail. I was out of the country and didn't know who to hire and having a trustworthy and dependable attorney is vital. You must be looking for the right attorney reading this so bottom line, do yourself a favor and retain Wail. I was half way ar...ound the world, just wasted thousands on one attorney and (now) no attorney. I knew this was going to be a difficult divorce, we had a lot of assets. I could not easily interview prospective attorneys from my remote location and it was horrible feeling. THEN... a friend of a friend told me about Wail. We talked on phone and I retained him but really didn't have any confidence in him. I had to have someone and I figured, "Here we go again". Was I ever wrong about that. After giving him some brief facts he got back to me immediately! He had done some research on our properties and had several good suggestions. He emailed me, called me and immediately answered questions sometimes within hours...or minutes! I returned to the U.S., met Wail and I knew I had the right attorney. As the very difficult case went forward, he and his outstanding staff took care of me. They called, emailed, did things we needed and informed me in a timely manner about every detail of the case. This was such a stress reliever. He and his staff were always on top of every event and there were many! On one occasion of importance, Wail and staff member Gabriela were calling me driving home after hours and emailing me from their homes until after 9 pm. There were so many incidents and important matters that came up in this long and difficult case but...I had Wail! He really understood my stress and was the calm in the storm. My divorce was granted, property settlement done and even though it was a horrible event in my life, I can't imagine what it would have been like without this intelligent, informed, well educated and skilled attorney. I am back in my little paradise (secrete!) now but I return on occasion and Wail and his wonderful staff will be on my list of friends to visit. It was really that good.

An attorney with a heart...and soul.

Wail is a special guy. My case was VERY complex (international, child abduction, DV, highly contested, etc.). Over the course of 2.5 years, I worked with Wail. I went from having 0 custody of my 3 kids, to 60% and primary residency. Aside from court costs, my assets were untouched. I had i...nterviewed and turned down 3 attorneys because they lacked what I will call the "human" factor. Wail is a very decent human being. He is a family man and he is not in this to milk is clients. Although I paid a high cost, I know for a fact it could have been much worse. Wail is honest. No man is perfect and no lawyer is perfect. Even when we made a wrong step, Wail was quick to figure it out and minimize any damage. He was honest enough to own it and quick enough to correct it. He understood my financial constraints and helped me to keep my costs down as low as possible. Wail has compassion. I am single father of 3 small kids, recently married with a blended family. I am the sole income earner. With a legal system that is stacked against men, compassion is critical. Wail understood my situation as a man, father and provider and how it impacted my case and decisions. Wail is consistent. My case was long an tiring, Wail did not flinch once. He was patient and present throughout. Not once did I feel that my case was not a priority for him or his office. Wail has great staff. I was able to interact with several of Wails staff over the duration of my case. All were top notch. Marlene, his assistant, is the best. She is capable and was able to hold down the fort when I needed assistance/advice and Wail was in court or not available. Wail has a soul. He did not try to stroke my anger or natural aggression/insecurities to line prolong the case and line his pockets. He could have at several points, but chose to what was right instead. If you are honest and fair and truly want what is best for your kids and family (not selfish, nasty and out destroy your ex), look no further. You are in good hands with Wail Sarieh & Associates. PS: He is much better looking in person;) lol

Godsend in a hopeless situation

So my ex husband hired an attorney to take custody of my son because I got a DUI for being passed out in my car with an open container in front of my house with no car keys. I,m telling you this so you will have a real idea of Wail's extraordinary capability in the court room. As you can see that sou...nds pretty horrible, right? It gets worse. My brother and his wife forged custody papers and lied to my ex about where I was (rehab, 43 days) as my brother had temporary guardianship (notarized agreement between us) of my son while I was seeking treatment and he was refusing to let my son see me. He was trying to cut me out of my sons life while lying to my ex about me. Anyways I intercepted my son during an exchange and this started my custody battle. My ex who now had my brother on his side because of the forgery (protecting his wife) were trying to make me look like an unfit mother and accused me of kidnapping and having my son in the car at the time of my DUI (not true). They even got the child custody investigator to right a report stating I should have supervised visitation. Thank God I found Wail Sarieh who took on my most complicated case and right away found a huge illegal mistake. My ex was in default and had no legal right to a custody trial that the commissioner had ordered. Wail got the court to admit their mistake and my ex had to start over. My ex and his attorney were ridiculous everything they got the court to order like an update child custody investigation update, custody trail and a 730 psychological evaluation they couldn't follow through with. When my attorney Wail questioned the child custody investigator during her testimony he made her look incompetent, unprofessional and proved she had a personal prejudice against me and that her conclusion was a personal opinion rather than evidence or that she did any investigating at all. When my brother testified he told lie after lie and Wail knew just how to make him fumble. My brother told one lie then 2 minutes later had a different answer, he started to sound like Porky Pig. After that his attorney convinced the court to order a 730 because they could have my brother finish is testimony obliviously it hurt their case rather than proving it. Long story short this started on 8-2-12 and ended on 2-2-15 I have 100% legal and physical custody of my 9 year son and through all of this I have achieved an AA in substance abuse counseling and am certified through the state of CA and am a full time counselor. Everyone makes mistakes, my Dad who I was separated from for 19 years died after 10 months of us reuniting. I didn't know how to cope and found alcohol at the age of 29 got sober at 32. My point in stating all of this is no one is the perfect parent but we can all strive to be. Wail believed in me and fought for us and we would not have won without him or God on our side. In fact without Wail I might have very well lost custody all together. Wail was a Godsend. With all that was against me we still won and I got everything we were fighting for. Trust me, you do not want to be up against Wail Sarieh in court so don't let your ex hire him before you do! I am blessed to have him as my attorney and proud to call him my friend. I cannot express my gratitude or appreciation enough to Wail and Marlene for all the hard work they put into my case. Thank you H. Madrigal

Great & Honest Lawyer

Wail is a great & honest lawyer. He helped me through my nasty child custody/support case & I got great results! He was realistic & upfront & didn't give me false hopes. I was always aware of what to expect. I refer him to everyone who needs a family law attorney & they were happy I did. I would not ...hesitate to use him again as my attorney if needed. He is very easy to work with & has a great attitude. He gets the job done without playing dirty like other lawyers. I really felt like he cared about my case & the welfare of my children. I am very grateful to Wail & his assistant Marlene.
