     My family law philosophy is this: excellence. Excellence in representing my clients, excellence in the advice I give to them. Everyone who wants a divorce wants to protect

their children. I will help you with sensible advice that will help you keep your children away from friction that arises in every divorce. In addition to litigation, I practice mediation and collaborative law, ways that will help you stay out of court and negotiate a settlement with a minimum of hostility.. But if I go to court, I will fight foryou. I will do everything possible to help you get what you want.

     My interest in family law began in my own family, when my parents got a divorce when I was a teenager. I know how kids feels when their parents are divorcing and I can help you help them to feel more secure.

      My two sons are grown now, but they are still  the apples of my eye.  I went to law school while they were young, and used to help them do their homework before I did my own. Before I became a lawyer, I was a journalist, working in Washington, D.C., Cleveland and Los Angeles. Most of my family remains in the Midwest--Michigan and Ohio--and  I love to visit them when I can get away. I still love to write and am on the editorial board of Los Angeles Lawyer magaqzine.
