April L. Jones was excellent. It's very difficult to find a tenant's rights lawyer. She gave us the knowledge and facts that we needed to proceed forward with our wrongful eviction case. She's compassionate, understanding and very knowledgeable. I would recommend her to anyone who is being faced w...ith a wrongful eviction or whose landlord owes them monetary compensation.

I have been a victim of a very bad management company now since December 2014. The property has had 4 code violations in the 8 months I have lived there, all of which I reported to the proper government agencies. In the 7 months I lived at this property I had never paid rent late, except once when my... payroll deposit went in a day late. The property came after me for over $600 in late fees. When I tried to reason with them without success I refused to pay, refused to be extorted for $600. They started the eviction process. I have rented in NY, Texas, Georgia and Colorado and I have never seen a predatory rental market like the one here in Denver. I was appalled by this idea that eviction law firms exist to get people out in 7 days, appalled that renters are so under represented in the state of CO and treated like cash cows if they ever pay anything late. I called a lot of lawyers looking for help, all who wanted me to sign a contract and pay a minimum of $750 to take my case. I had done a lot of research on the laws and the eviction process and this was when I decided that April's service made the most sense. She gave me the worst case scenario of what was to come in court and the advice she gave was hard to hear but I followed her advice and it has helped me immensely. I have made it through phase one of my trial against some very bad property managers where the judge ruled in my favor. If you know the law, if you have documented everything that felt wrong, if you ever feel your landlord is treating you like less than human, forcing you to deal with uninhabitable conditions and not maintaining the property, record all of it, get correspondence in writing and report them. Then go see April and sue them. Do not settle for the low standards of some slumlord and never fear their lowlife lawyers. YOU can fight them with the help of April.

Floyd was also especially empathetic and calmed us down, as we were in an emergency situation with the landlord and were panicking. She didn't actually represent us, but the information she provided was so helpful, she may as well have. April was so amazing that we will be hiring her for an up and coming case related to this one. Overall, I would honestly have to recommend Floyd and April to anyone who desires to have equality for all. Floyd and April are true representations of the honesty, compassion and courage that it takes to make the desperate, vital changes we are all aware that need to take place for living in harmony with one another again.
