I was born in Port Arthur, Texas and raised in the Golden Triangle of Texas. I completed my B.S. degree from Auburn University after only 2 1/2 years of study. I began working as a police officer at 21 years old. I was a college professor with two masters degrees at age 26. By age 30, I was finishing law school. I have since completed a third masters degree and defended over 2000 people who have been accused of crimes. My experience as a defense lawyer includes over 100 jury trials.

Outside of my law practice, I am actively involved in fitness. I have practiced Gracie Jiu Jitsu for 13 years. I am very competitive and I fight for my clients in court the way I fight on the jiu jitsu mat. I use my knowledge, creativity, and experience to get the best results for my clients.

Got the job done!

If you are looking for someone that is worth the money and someone that will fight for you. Jim is the one. We knew we needed to get a felony dropped and he did that. I don't plan on being in trouble anymore but if I am or someone I know is... he is the first I will recommend!

AMAZING LAWYER

I have never been in trouble with the legal system before. When I found myself in trouble, I researched for lawyers and I was able to find Jim Medley. As I entered the office feeling guilty, feeling not worth it, I had a chance to talk to Mr. Medley. I remember him telling me very clearly "This is just a path in your life, you are going to do amazing things with your life." That moment, I knew my head was in the right place. Fast forward three months later, my case was dismissed. His legal assistant Misty is a huge help and they answered all of my questions throughout the journey. My favorite part was the judgment-free environment they had to offer because I was freaking out and feeling very bad about myself but these people took their time to calm me down, and explain the whole situation to me. Overall, I will highly recommend Mr.Medley to anyone who is having legal trouble.

Excellent work!!!

I found Jim Medley’s Office through online search. I was very nervous about my case and didn’t really know what to expect. Mr Medley and his staff were very reassuring and incredibly professional from day one. They got to work right away, set clear expectations and delivered every step of the way. Best DWI lawyer!

Mr. Medley was very professional and attentive to my case. Through much work on his part was able to get my case dismissed. His office staff was the greatest always keeping me informed about my case and anything else I needed. They were always there to answer my phone calls and questions.

Great Job !!!

Jim Medley is a definitely hire; , I’m overjoyed with the result that Mr. Medley was able to achieve through his hard work, knowledge of the law, and commitment to my case. He was extremely aggressive with getting the Asst. Dist. Attorney to dismiss the charges, and would not take “No” for an answer. I was literally shocked how good a deal I got after seeing what others received for the same offense. Glad that Mr. Medley did an outstanding job, I have crossed criminal charges off of my bucket list and don’t plan on ever getting in trouble with the law again. I will recommend him to friends and family, and will reconsider him again if any mishaps.

Excellent Attorney

Great Attorney

I unfortunately found myself in a situation where I needed legal representation from someone who was well experienced in the criminal defense system. I had no idea who to call until Jim Medley was recommended to me from a friend who is very familiar with the Houston court system. I’m very glad I was recommended to Jim Medley. I contacted the office and was able to get an appointment to see him the very next day. After discussing my case with Jim Medley I felt very comfortable and confident about my current situation and he told me that I had nothing to worry about. Jim Medley’s office staff did a wonderful job returning any of my phone calls or emails and was more than happy to answer any questions that I had. Honest, blunt and knowledgeable

I would highly recommend to anyone that is in the unfortunate predicament of fighting a DWI to seek out the expertise and experience of Mr.Medley and his staff! I had a highly complicated case that took over 18 months to resolve. Mr.Medley and his staff always kept the information flowing, and were forward and honest about what to expect, consequences and even the over all out look. It was also a relief to have one attorney to handle everything from acquiring a drivers license, fighting the charges and even getting it expunged from one's record. I hope never to have to go through this process ever again, or anyone. But, it does make it easier with Mr.Medley and his staff by your side the whole time.

Highly Recommend

Excellent work

When I was arrested for DWI, I searched a number of firms for representation. Jim Medley immediately stood out as both highly knowledgeable, but not overly aggressive with handling his clients. Over the course of my case, Mr. Medley and his staff were extremely responsive to my requests, concerns, and inquiries. Eventually, Mr. Medley was able to work with the authorities to secure a dismissal due the inability to prove the charge beyond reasonable doubt - the optimal outcome given my profession and age. Through the process, I was well informed, and for that I am grateful. I would recommend Jim Medley and his team in a heartbeat should you find yourself in the unfortunate position of a DWI.

Highly recommend

case DISMISSED

My husband was accused of stealing pipe from his job he was arrested jan 14 2015 for something he didnt do three weeks later i bonded him out and we got a lawyer to prove hes innocent a boy did we choose the right lawyer for the job we went threw this for 10 months and November 9th 2015 jim medley got his case DISMISSED..... are prays were answered thank god for jim medley i couldnt ask for a better lawyer

I highly recommend this attorney

Mr. Medley is an experienced attorney and practices law with beneficence. I had the unfortunate circumstance of being wrongfully accused of a D.W.I.. From the beginning, Mr. Medley and his staff kept me abreast of my case and informed me every step of the way what to expect. Mr.Medley is knowledgeable, launches an aggressive defense, experienced, and has his clients best interest at heart. He tells you the truth and does not give you false hope.
