Don Pesce received his Juris Doctorate from the IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2005. After being admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2005 and the Florida Bar in 2006, Don decided to dedicate his legal career to divorce and family law. As such, Don has been practicing in the divorce and family law arena, with an emphasis in DuPage County, for the entirety of his legal career.

Don delivers when others could not!

Having gone through four other lawyers in a particularly contentious case I sought out a lawyer that was knowledgeable, direct, time-efficient and truly willing to listen to my concerns and objectives. Don delivered on all counts. I really appreciated Don's effective use of time and practical approach. I truly felt that he was in my corner and the corner of my daughter. Competent and thorough

I have a 16-year-old case and I have had three attorneys. Don is the best. He is competent and thorough. I rated my other attorney 3 stars and the other I didn't rate but I would give him 4, so I don't just give five starts. Don spent time on EVERYTHING and gave me all of the ins and outs of the case. Nothing about this is enjoyable but Don is on your side and will tell you the truth about possible outcomes and he is priced reasonably (although I think the system should be improved). Thanks, Don.

The best of the best!

In my experience, going through legal issues and grief at the same time isn’t easy. However, Don made me feel reassured and made it known that he had my back the entire time. As a single mother, money is tight and don is reasonable with pricing. He understands and knows that everyone is going through different situations and I really appreciated that during my time as his client. One thing that stood out to me most about Don is the way he educates his clients through the entirety of the case. I was always thoroughly explained the process of every thing that was going to happen each court date. Also, Don is reputable in the court room which is a huge plus. Today I have a huge weight lifted off my chest because Don was able to get the case closed with all my needs/wants. I was recommended to hire Don as my attorney and I would definitely recommend him to anyone else! 10/10 Attorney!

Excellent family law attorney

I was battling an interstate child support case for non payment with no results and decided to hire Don to represent me in the DuPage County court system. His expertise expedited a case that allowed a non compliant parent to slip through the cracks in our legal system for a decade. Don is extremely well-versed and experienced in family law and I could not have chosen a better attorney to represent my children and myself. I can’t say enough how grateful we are for his lead and expertise in our case. I can tell you first hand he goes above and beyond to fight for his clients. A top notch Attorney

I hired Mr. Pesce when my Ex-wife took me back to court to increase Child Support. He was very upfront and honest letting me know what to expect in certain areas of my case were we had a good argument and also where there was no need to argue. I respect his honesty and appreciate that he would always return phone calls and emails before the end of the day. My only regret is I wish I would have hired Mr. Pesce to represent me from the beginning of my divorce. Mr.Pesce knows the laws and will fight for your best interests.

Divorce

Mr. Pesce was efficient and easy to work with. He listened to your situation and gave you the pros and cons of which way to go. He suggested in your benefit and was willing to go the extra length to get results. He communicated regularly. Overall, I would recommend Mr. Pesce. I would also recommend attending each court date even if they suggest you do not need to be there. It helps the process move along and get results, otherwise to many continuous court dates and Mr. Pesce was agreeable and made the flow instead of dragging out a divorce for no need. You are able to stand up for yourself with the judge after all the case is about you not continuous court dates.

Very Helpful & Professional

Professional and dedicated

After a consultation with Donato Pesce I knew he was the lawyer for my divorce and child custody case. the absolute best!

after reading reviews about don pesce online i gave his office a call and left a message with his secretary. within 20 minutes don called me and explained how everything worked and all of my options. this was all new to me i didnt know what to expect but don really knows his stuff and is a very fast thinker he also tried his best to keep cost down. i now have custody of my 4 year old son. in the future i hope to never need another attorney but if i do it will definitely be done pesce! Divorce

I believe most married couples never plan to go thru a divorce but unfortunately many do. In my situation I can honestly say it would never happen to me. But it did. I found myself looking for appropriate legal representation....someone who was there to help me and not judge me. In my first consult with Don, I found him to be very candid but also highly supportive. He laid out the basics of ILLINOIS divorce law and what I should expect. He explained every detail and helped me map out what the coming weeks/months would look like. Don was professional, highly knowledgeable and very responsive. You would have thought he was only working on my case. Albeit Divorces are no fun at all Don at least guided me and provided me with the confidence and support I so desperately needed. Set realistic expectations and worked to overcome obstacles

After attempting and failing a collaborative divorce, Don took over and was able to get things back on track. He was very communicative and was able to set my expectations correctly. He let me know how things worked, and what I could expect from the various stages. I felt that the opposition would always delay on the back and forth with various details. In the end, Don was able to put a stop to that by offering to work directly with the opposing council for the final wording, thus eliminating another round of "back-and-forth" I knew my case wouldn't have the "perfect" outcome, but thanks to Don's communication, my expectation was set correctly, and I was able to plan for the outcome that I received.

spendy but worth it.

I spent far more than I ever expected to on a divorce(slow divorce-not his fault). BUT at the end of the day he managed to get an order for child support far exceeding anything I could have imagined getting. He's a fast thinker and gets things done on the spot. He's just full of information and seems to really know what he's doing. I'd rather him on my side than be my opponent.

I have retained Don on two occasions and he has given me excellent counsel and informed me of all my options and let me know the situations that may arise in my case from his experience. He is very easy to talk with and at the end of the day he let me know that the ultimate decisions being made were mine. While having worked through many difficult situations that had came up in my case, I always felt he was sticking up for the “little guy” and made sure my voice was heard to opposing counsel and the Judge.

Excellent Attorney

I had dealings with four other attorneys before I found Don and he was the most helpful, knowledgeable, and proactive lawyer I had dealt with. Don explained the nature of my case in realistic terms so that I understood the reality of what was to come. My case ended for the most part in my favor. All lawyers are expensive for us mere mortals but Don never charged for little things like a phone conversation or pulling my case from a file cabinet to look at it for 5 minutes and then bill me in a 1/2 hr. increment like some other firms do. His explanations are very educational leaving you well-informed and comfortable. I have continued to seek his counsel years after my case was complete and I have always been happy with his service. I would highly recommend Don to anyone.

A TRUE BLESSING TO HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a tough time with child custody a few years back. Then I met Don Pesce. He was comforting, knowledgeable, and took the time to talk to me whenever I needed him. He ALWAYS kept me in the loop in regards to what was going on. When he left the firm I was working with, I dropped everything to find Don to assure that he was still able to work on my case, and sure enough, he continued my case and saw it through to to the end. He was the only person I trusted to help me out. He instilled that comfort and trust with me, and I knew he was going to work as hard as he could to allow me to keep my child safe and in the right environment.
