Thereafter, she attended law school at Valparaiso University School of Law, where she was the Executive Symposium Editor for the law review, and authored a published note which proposed a constitutional regulation of computer-generated child pornography. Drop the ball
Attorney Dammer was contacted to support our efforts to get a contractor to perform its duties. She did not contact us for a couple of days after our initial phone inquiry and did not appear to want a phone conversation after responding via email. We sent the requested documents for her review, w...
Thank you for your comments. I was surprised to see this review. First of all, although we did meet in my office, you never hired me as your attorney. My partner and I provided you with over an hour for a consultation on your case and you were not charged for this initial review. After that, I emailed you with my fee information, and asked if you wished to move forward and retain our services for your legal problem. I did not hear back from you for several weeks, at which point you sent me an email stating that you did not wish to pay for my services just yet, and that you had to talk to other people involved in the case first. That was the last contact that I had from you, so as far as I was concerned you were not ready to actually hire an attorney to resolve your legal matter. Keep in mind that attorneys charge for their time, skill and experience. We do not work for free. I am not sure what the disconnect is here, but you did not ever retain our firm for your legal services despite our willingness to represent you. I am not sure why you were expecting me to work on your case for no initial fee, as we explained our fee structure and terms to you fully. You had indicated that there were other people involved with whom you had to make a decision as to moving forward with the case. When you say that I did not "update you on your case" that is a misstatement of the facts as you did not ever hire me for your case. Also, you did not ask me to contact the opposing party on the case, and in fact you directed me not to do anything until you had a chance to speak with the other people involved. Again, we offered to send you an engagement letter and start up a file for you upon receipt of fees, but that never happened on your end. I am happy that you have found another attorney who fits your budget, and I wish you the best of luck in resolving your legal issue.
