I went to the Orcutt law firm to file bankruptcy. I had gone to him in the 90’s for a chapter 7 bankruptcy and liked him. This time for a chapter 13 my experience was drastically different. The first time I met with Mr Orcutt personally and he actually went to court with me. This time I never met wit...h the attorney that was assigned to my case and met only with a paralegal or other support staff. On the day of my court appearance my assigned attorney from the Raleigh office wasn’t there and an attorney from the Fayetteville office was there to replace him. That was definitely a surprise for me. The court proceedings went fine thank goodness. In closing I think it would be nice that a client should meet at least once with the attorney that will represent them. The law firm of John Orcutt does great work.

When roadblocks in Life come your way and you lose your job and see no alternative but Bankruptcy and with low self-esteem you enter the office of Ms. Amy Hodge, Paralegal for Mr. John Orcutt. The first minute of our initial conversation was her making me see a future that I could not see with a debt... relief solution. As we progress it got better and better knowing that my life was not over but I can hold me head back up and know that I was going to be ok. Suicidal thoughts diminished and yes... I could see a light at the end of that dark tunnel. She guided me all the way with a kindness and sincerity that is often forgotten in customer service. Now, I am going to be ok thanks to the professional and diligent work of Ms. Amy Hodge. She was not only my Paralegal but now I consider her a Friend that cares about her customers. I was afraid to file bankruptcy because my creditor said they would sue me if I did. I was terrified because it seemed this one particular creditor made it personal and would call me at my work, my home and then started calling my family. I had no choice but to call for help. I called Mr. Orcutt's of...fice and they treated me with much respect and calmed my nerves down. They told me the creditor would stop calling me after I filed and if they called again they would be in trouble for having done so. I could sleep soundly again and wake up with a smile on my face instead of dread. Mr. Davis was very sweet to me at the hearing and walked me through everything with kid gloves. John Orcutt's office helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life. They were very caring and never once did I feel judged by my circumstances. His staff was very knowledgeable and kind. I met John Orcutt and he was so down to earth. I would not hesitate to go back to his office in ...the future should the need arise. What a relief it was to have them on my side helping me every step of the way. Couldn't have been any easier to get the fresh start John Orcutt says I DESERVE!
