Lies & scandals

Used this firm for my bankruptcy and I wish I could reverse it all. I know better now. Filing fee is nearly 3xs higher than actual fee. Went through process of submitting papers etc. Court date, plan was accepted by judge. Than told can’t do any payments but monthly when I specifically said no weekly... works better. Everytime you call there is a different paralegal assigned and when you ask for assistance they all say “ oh we don’t have anything to do with that”?! I called numerous times for 4 months not 1 person comprehended nor assisted! Than my case goes in for dismissal after I sent paperwork via email to a paralegal who said hed get back to me. I’m thinking finally someone will help with my issue. Guess what? Yup never returned a call or email. Court date comes I have no transportation and I’m making them aware of this 2 days in advance. ANGELA emails and tells me to get my payment in, the guy at the “never open to public” trustees office tells me going to court or making payment doesn’t matter it’s going to be didmissed because payments take 5 days to process. Yet Angela 2 days before court says make payment. Case is dismissed I’m told to call and refile next day. I do and the rudest, most ignorant woman dies her best to rush me off phone gives me another firms number and I just recently was told 2 days ago, nearly 2 months later she lied and referred me out stating “mutual agreement”. Absolutely horrible experience. I would never recommend anyone using this firm. They are deceitful, greedy, classless, and need to seriously bankrupt themselves because they are the most morally poor inconsiderate, lacking compassion and understanding people I’ve ever come across. Oh and yes I stopped making payments. Context is very important so for that not to be mentioned in court just because I’m not there, their lack of assistance as attorneys ,while I’m asking if I can make my full payment and to have that 100% disregarded is ridiculous! The part that really irritates me is the woman lying about mutual agreement. I’ve called the trustee many times and they never make you aware you can set up a payment arrangement as the man I spoke with had told me after the FACT! It clearly states when you call you can do so on the recording yet the firm NEVER tells you that. It’s monthly only ? Shady greedy and lacking describe this place to a fault! The only respectful person was who I spoke with initially when I first inquired about assistance and that’s if she isn’t used as a decoy to steer you to the firm. Live your lives well if that can even be a thing for this people because at this point absurdity suits them

Chapter 13 Dismissal

I dismissed my case. I sent in $370 up front before my case was filed. I sent in $1430, which was 2 payments. I filed in Raleigh. NC. I just got my letter from the Trustee and did not pay anybody. I had a car payment and owed IRS. The attorney got all the money except $85 to the Trustee. Did not ref...und me anything. I am very disappointed. They could have paid the IRS something. I have to make 2 car payments for the next 10 months in order to keep my car. I am filing a congressional With the state Senator and BBB. Very dissatisfied. Would not recommend them to nobody. All they want is your money.

I AM A SURVIVOR & YOU CAN BE ONE TOO!

When I first sat down with Morgan the fear of what I was about too do was full of uncertainties. I was recovering from neck surgery that put me out of work for months. My bills did not stop coming but a paycheck was no longer. My credit card debt crept up on me from taken out cash advances to stop th...e phone calls. I was robbing Peter to pay Paul. I was current on all bills except the house of cards was starting to collapse. After about 1 hour I started to see some hope where there had been none. Long story short. The law office of John Orcutt's did everything they promised and then some. That was back in 2017. My case was a chapter 13 for 60 months. I was able to make the payment the Federal Courts had ordered me to pay. In fact my case ended 5 months ahead of the 60. My truck is paid off, I owe very little on my home. But the main thing I now have my affairs in order. It seems like everyday I am getting credit card offers. But never again will I allow that addiction to take back my life. No I am not getting paid for this review. I am a previous customer. If you are thinking about your debt, then more than likely you may want to give an bankruptcy attorney a call to weigh your options. I am a SURVIVOR!!!!!!

Very good Law firm usually

This law firm has been very good with my bankruptcy case until last year. My paralegal use to be Patty and she was awesome. I could email her and get an answer in two days. I have Jannell R. and I have called her for a status on several occasion and she said she would call me back and I never get... a phone call or email back from her. My bankruptcy ended last year and I have not received the final papers as of yet. I do not think it take a year to close a bankruptcy case. I do not know if Jannell R. is new or just got a lot of clients but I wish she would find time in her busy schedule to let me know what is going on with my case. The last email I received from her was December 2017.

Poor Post Filing Assistances

I hired this firm back in 2006 or 2007 to assist me with filing bankruptcy chapter 13 their suggestion. I was instructed to relinquish my property back to the bank upon, which I did. I made all of my payments in my chapter 13 and received my bankruptcy discharge. Now here in 2018 I receive a letter ...from the State of North Carolina stating I owe back taxes with incurred interest on that property from 2013. I didn't understand why I owed this money, therefore I contacted John Orcutts office for explanation. They're the experts that I hired and paid. I was told I need to speak with Jenelle R. the paralegal over my case. I began contacting the office in January 2018 it is now April 2018. I've since had to make payment arrangements with the state of North Carolina to keep them from levying my current property or bank account. Jenelle R. has retuned my calls less than a handful of times, instructing me to email her or call her back. I have done as she request. I thought emailing may result in a faster response, so I sent her a personal detailed email in March upon which she still has not responded. The voice message line appears to be generic and shared. Even so I've still left detialed messages explaining my concerns and issue. The email has yet to be responded too and the return calls at a the time that I'm unavailable (PT appt) I have gotten are always the same message instructing me to call again. I hired this law firm because they're supposed to be the experts you shouldn't be left on your own no matter how many years later to try and figure things out on your own. The phone staff is rude they have all of these channels and you can never really talk to anyone for assistance this is my personal experience with John T Orcutts office in Raleigh North Carolina. Did I really owe this money I guess I'll never know because out of fear of losing everything I just made the payment arrangements because I was frustrated with calling the office and getting nowhere.
