I had a single truck accident in Wytheville, VA with a loaded trailer as I was moving from Ohio to South Carolina. The VA local Sherriff's deputy charged me with Reckless Driving. The Joel Stephen Jackson law firm charged me $400 to represent me in court, so that I did not have to drive back to V...A for my court date. The law firm recommended that I take an in-class Defensive Driving Course for $100, which I did. So, on my court date, the firm met with the prosecutor and got the Reckless Driving charge dropped, when they showed the prosecutor proof of my Defensive Driving Course. I, ultimately, had to pay $71 in court costs; so my total out of pocket cost was $571. I, ultimately, feel that $400 was more than I thought it should cost for four (4) hours or less of work that the Joel Stephen Jackson law firm had to put in, but the cost is still reasonable. I did price out two (2) other law firms and they were more expensive than the Joel Stephen Jackson law firm. Plus, the Joel Stephen Jackson law firm was able to make it so that I did not have to take time off work and drive back to VA. As a result, overall I am very happy with the service, if not the total cost; which is why I give this law firm 4 out of 5 stars.

After hiring him for a sum of 700$ for his legal representation I was displeased to find out on my court date that he was not aware of any of the things I had personally discussed with him and his assistant. In the end I received the same penalty as all the other people charged with the same crime BU...T WITHOUT representation. Moreover he refused to answer my emails and provided no explanation or apology for the bad job he did. I had to call his office multiple times and send many emails only to receive a short email answer which provided no answers. AVOID this lawyer.

I used the website to reach out for a consultation...it was after 6pm when I entered my information. Within 1 hour an associate of Mr. Jackson office contacted me (Sean)...this was around 7pm but I was unable to speak at the time so we agreed to speak the next day. However around 8pm I sent a text ...to the number and asked if he was still available and I got a yes Immediately. I Called back the gentlemen's name was Sean....after listening to the details of my case...he immediately googled my case in court records and was able to give me valuable information to assist me. From about 8pm to 10pm we discussed my case....at the end it was determined that I did not need representation at this time. Not only was Sean a professional but was understanding was available after hours. On top of every thing there was no fee for the advice and lengthy call. The world needs more professionals that don't just do a job but truly cares about the people he is helping. Sean is a tremendous asset to Mr. Jackson's team and when the time comes that I do need an attorney for this case you can bet that the Office of Joel Jackson will get my business. Sean truly has my respect and admiration for doing such an awesome job!!!! 5 Stars is not enough to give this rating.....10 STARS are deserved.
