Joel Stephen Jackson

After hiring him for a sum of 700$ for his legal representation I was displeased to find out on my court date that he was not aware of any of the things I had personally discussed with him and his assistant. In the end I received the same penalty as all the other people charged with the same crime BU...T WITHOUT representation. Moreover he refused to answer my emails and provided no explanation or apology for the bad job he did. I had to call his office multiple times and send many emails only to receive a short email answer which provided no answers. AVOID this lawyer.

I live in Maryland but drive route I-81 frequently on business. I received a ticket for speeding on I-81 in Virginia which required an in-person court appearance. Everyone on Mr. Jackson's staff was exceedingly helpful in advising me of my rights and responsibilities, and walking me through the process over the ten weeks that followed. They answered every question promptly and thoroughly. The outcome was a dismissal of the charge based on my past clean record, on the condition that I attend a one-day driver improvement course. I am grateful for such excellent representation.

Unfortunately I was speeding on my way home from Alabama while attending the Barber Motorsports Vintage Motorcycle weekend. Due to hurricane Nate, the event closed early for safety reasons. We were riding our motorcycles home and trying to stay ahead of the storm, which was moving very fast for a hur...ricane. My hope was to at least make it to Harrisonburg, VA where my daughter attends James Madison University. That didn't happen as I was stopped while going 83mph in the right lane on interstate 81 in southern VA (70mph zone). That's reckless driving in VA! Amazingly the trucks were doing 75mph and if you ever rode a motorcycle at night, it is not fun being passed by an 18 Wheeler. More so is the danger that the truck driver may not see you. Therefore I tried to stay a little ahead of the trucks since I can control what is in front of me but not what's behind me. I looked up attorneys online and chose Joel Jackson. Best choice I ever made. He advised me to take a driver safety course and also obtain my 10 year driving history, which was fortunately favorable. I did that and also provided additional history of myself to Joel including what I mentioned above. He was able to explain my situation in court and achieved a very successful outcome for me.
