Recently I required the assistance of legal representation for a 39. 3.29C insurance violation. After preforming research of possible candidates, I came across Mr. Bailey's profile. I was very impressed with his resume and positive reviews from past clients. Suffice it to say, I contacted his office. First impressions are always lasting impression. Mr. Bailey was prompt in returning my call and made concessions to meet with me on short notice . He was very professional upon meeting him, put me at ease with his easy going demeanor and gave me all the possibilities in which I was facing. . He did not sugar coat anything to handle my case. He advised me that he knew what to argue in my case but there were no guarantees. I felt I was in competent hands and I hired him on the spot. Every question, every call and every email was responded to expediously. Long story short, Mr Bailey resolved my case with only court cost and a fine whereas I was looking at possible suspension of my driving license, a hefty fine and community service. Mere words can not express the gratitude that I have for Mr. Bailey. Mr. Bailey epitomizes what a lawyer should be. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of an attorney. Excellent attorney. 5 star rating

My son got arrested in Newark on a drug charge and several motor vehicle charges. I did some research for a Lawyer and I am very happy that I picked Mr Bailey. First, when we first met with him he told us every outcome that could happen. My son was facing jail time and a loss of his drivers licence for 2 years. I put my son in a rehab and kept Mr. Bailey up to date on his progress. Several times he went to court without my son because he was in rehab and he kept me posted every time. Also when we did go to court Mr. Bailey knew everyone in the court house, from the Sheriff officers, court clerks, Prosecutors, Lawyers and Judges, he was saying hello to them all. When ever I needed to contact him I would call him or email him and he got back to me every time. I sent updates on my son from his rehab and his halfway house so when we finally went to court for the last time he had copies of everything I sent him to give to the Prosecutor and the Judge. The final result was my son got off without any jail time or probation!! and the motor vehicle charges were dropped. He went from facing jail time to a very low fine and court costs. I have used several Lawyers in my life and Mr. Bailey by far was the most professional I have ever had worked with. I would recommend him to anyone. One last thing I did not shop around for prices buy I think his fee was more than fair.

Last year around this time I was on the search for a lawyer .at 1 o'clock am I contacted Mr Bailey's answering service less then 15 minutes later Mr Bailey called me to discuss my concerns . after meeting with Mr Bailey I knew he was my best choice . I've had plenty of experiences with lawyers and not one was on their game like him . he is full of knowledge in his field. This man will fight for you until the end and never leaves you out of the loop. Not once did I wait longer then a few hours for a return call for all my questions . I highly recommend Mr Howard Bailey long story short I was facing 12 to 15 yrs in prison and Mr Bailey got me a dismissal on all charges . my family and myself are for ever thankful for Mr Bailey. Sincerely Jason .A.

I am thankful to you Mr. Bailey for the professionalism and humanity you displayed in handling my criminal case that just ended with positive outcome. You are truly a lawyer that is a living example of what a good lawyer should be. You explained to me, at the beginning , what would happen in every stage of the trial with all the possible outcomes and it truly came to pass as you said. You got me the victory through your knowledge of the lawyer and your one of a kind presentation skills. Mr. Bailey, you are an example of what every lawyer should look up to emulate in terms of your professionalism encapsulated in our humanity. Thank you Mr. Bailey. What you charged me that had no fluctuation was certainly not enough based on all your professional efforts in getting this victory, but may God bless you and thank you again.

I thank you again for all your help getting our family through a difficult time.. You were very professional, and knowledgeable about how the system works. You helped us achieve a reduction in charges, and then have the charged dropped after a 6 mo deferred disposition.Your expertise enabled us to reach this point and put their bad mistake behind us. Without your help, I know we would not have had such a positive outcome. I also really appreciate the time you took to help me handle the expungement request on my own. I learned a lot, and saved considerable expense. You really went above and beyond to help.

The boys learned a hard lesson. With that, I don't anticipate needing your services in the future, but will remember you as a contact should anyone ever ask.

I was involved in a hit and run incident, a ticket for careless driving and a ticket for an invalid license. Howard Bailey represented my case. Immediately, he made me feel at ease and comfortable. At my hearing, he was able to lower the hit and run charge to a charge of failure to contact police and got the other charges dropped. I believe he saved my life and my peace of mind. If you EVER need a great criminal lawyer, Howard Woodley Bailey is the right choice

Mr. Bailey is a blessing to me and my family. As a single mom, I was facing a 2nd degree felony with 7 to 10 years in prison if convicted. Absolutely, the scariest feeling of my life. I was immediately put at ease during my consultation with Mr. Bailey. He has always made himself readily available to me and treated me with the highest regard and courtesy. Mr. Bailey returned phone calls and emails promptly. You can be assured that you will receive personalized investment in your case and genuine respect. Mr. Bailey fought for me during this stressful time every step of the way. I know with all my heart the outcome was successful due to Mr. Bailey expertise with criminal law. Mr. Bailey was able to negotiated 5 years probation, restitution and most importantly keep me out of prison. Mr. Bailey is a shark while negotiating with the prosecutors. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend his services.

    Sincerely,
    Grateful

This Lawyer from my understanding of just talking to him is very untrustworthy. While dealing with a case he seemed to have a ulterior motive of some sort. He did not really give a good fight seemed to settle when push came to shove. I would not invest in him again especially in regard to not having a great upcoming in the case.

Howard Woodley Bailey’s response: “Every client is entitled their opinion, even though it is sometimes unrealistic or not in accord with the facts of their case. In my extensive experience, the few times a client has not been happy with something I was doing during their representation, they have said so to my face while the representation was occurring. In those few instances, the client and I have then worked out why I was taking the legal position I was taking, to the satisfaction of the client. It is interesting to note that the client does not indicate what type of legal matter this was, so I will conclude that it was a criminal case for the sake of discussion. The client says I 'did not really give a good fight' and 'seemed to settle when push came to shove', which is strange since it is always the client's choice, not mine as an attorney as to whether to fight or accept a plea deal. Based on what was provided in this review, it appears that the client was the one who decided not to fight, and decided to accept a plea deal. This is an anonymous comment, so I have no idea who this client was or what the issue is that the client believes made me 'untrustworthy'. If the client really believes this, I question why they waited up to 6 months after their case was resolved to say so anonymously, and I invite this client to contact me personally at 973-982-1200 to discuss their dissatisfaction so I can try to rectify whatever they believe was not done in accordance with proper legal representation standards.”

The laws in NJ are kinda crazy and you would think, if you were carjacked, that it would be an open and shut case, right? Let's just say, 5 prosecutors and 8 months of their pursuit, with a possible 16 years waiting for me; Howard Bailey fought the good fight and literally had it thrown out. So many things could of gone wrong, at any juncture but Howard took care of each item in an urgent fashion.
Knowing Howard is a blessing and having him in your corner is a godsend.
