Mr. Bailey's review

Not only is Mr. Bailey an excellent attorney, but also an outstanding human being. He takes pride and diligence in his profession and complete understanding in the human aspects of his clients. From the very first day, his work is thorough and comprehensive. His knowledge and understanding of the... judicial system is outstanding, and he leaves no stone unturned when it comes to a proper defense for his clients. I am very pleased and thankful for all his time and effort in my sons case, which had a positive outcome. Thank you, Mr, Bailey and may God bless!

Mediocre Job

This Lawyer from my understanding of just talking to him is very untrustworthy. While dealing with a case he seemed to have a ulterior motive of some sort. He did not really give a good fight seemed to settle when push came to shove. I would not invest in him again especially in regard to not having ...a great upcoming in the case.

Every client is entitled their opinion, even though it is sometimes unrealistic or not in accord with the facts of their case. In my extensive experience, the few times a client has not been happy with something I was doing during their representation, they have said so to my face while the representation was occurring. In those few instances, the client and I have then worked out why I was taking the legal position I was taking, to the satisfaction of the client. It is interesting to note that the client does not indicate what type of legal matter this was, so I will conclude that it was a criminal case for the sake of discussion. The client says I 'did not really give a good fight' and 'seemed to settle when push came to shove', which is strange since it is always the client's choice, not mine as an attorney as to whether to fight or accept a plea deal. Based on what was provided in this review, it appears that the client was the one who decided not to fight, and decided to accept a plea deal. This is an anonymous comment, so I have no idea who this client was or what the issue is that the client believes made me 'untrustworthy'. If the client really believes this, I question why they waited up to 6 months after their case was resolved to say so anonymously, and I invite this client to contact me personally at 973-982-1200 to discuss their dissatisfaction so I can try to rectify whatever they believe was not done in accordance with proper legal representation standards.

It is scarey how one lawyer can ruin your entire life

I had no record, and felt that my case shoulda been thrown out of court. Instead of fighting, I was backed into a corner and had to plead guilty to something I did not do. I feel that a better lawyer would have fought harder for me, or at least would have been able to get me some kinda deal that wo...uldnta gotten me a record I didnt diserve. I cant blame Mr. Bailey for getting me arrested, but I did not think that he helped me enough or did enough for me. One thing he did really well was get me to pay all the $ up front - that was important. Getting me found not guilty or getting a dismissal was just not as important. I will live and learn. You can learn from my mistake.

I NEVER have, and NEVER will be part of a client entering a plea to something the client tells me they did not do. In order to enter a plea of guilty, a client has to stand in front of a judge, swear to God that they will tell the truth, admit that they committed the crime, place a truthful factual basis on the record, and ask the Judge to accept the plea. For a person to post an anonymous complaint on a site like this that they were forced to enter a plea to something they did not do, means that they either lied to the Judge when they entered the plea, or their posting and rating of my services is less then accurate. You be the Judge, review my employment history, my success stories posted on www.nj-criminaldefense.com and the other information posted on this site. If you really believe this person, then call some other lawyer to represent you. If you believe this person is posting sour grapes, and would like to discuss your case, give me a call. As to the payment of legal fees, all clients are allowed several different payment options, including payment plans in many cases.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
