Poor experience, but Anna was willing to try and make up for it

*This review has been amended* Overall, I did not have a good experience with Anna, and I posted quite a long review here about how frustrated I was with the experience, but I would like to amend it based on her reaching out and asking how she could help. My divorce did take 2-3 months longer ...than it should have, and there were issues with communication from her, as well as a lack of her completing the necessary paperwork in a timely manner (one instance was two months that she did not get back to the court). I was not able to enforce the directives of my order during this time. I do still believe she overcharged me, and when I brought this up to her, she did waive a portion of her charges. Her paralegal did tell me she would complete my name change but they never did this - I had noted this in my review, and she reached out to me and offered to do this at no additional charge. I do really appreciate her doing so as I do not think many lawyers would offer to do this, regardless of poor experience or not. The lack of communication and the disorganization leads me to believe that Anna is possibly overbooked and is taking on too much at this time. Unfortunately, I still cannot recommend her based on my overall experience. But I do think that maybe this case could be a lesson for her, which could lead her to ultimately improve her services. I did not go to a lengthy court case with her so I can't comment on her performance in a larger court case. Most of what I needed were administrative tasks, and I did not find her and her paralegal to be successful at this, at least at this time. I will note that her offering to do something for me after the fact does show that she does care to try and keep her clients happy, and that possibly this poor experience was not a regular occurrence. Reaching out to talk with me and to apologize, and to offer to correct where she could, I think went a long way for me regarding my perceptions of her.

excellent lawyer

I called Anna Bristle about a child custody case. She was not able to take the case because she was already in court on the day of the trial. Even though she was not making any money she took the time to recommend other lawyers. When they were not able to help and I called her back she took even mo...re time to give advice and help point me in the right direction. She truly is out to help the kids even when it does not benefit her.

Hates Veterans

I hired Anna Bristle as my lawyer for my custody battle in December 2021. I am a disabled combat veteran with two purple hearts. During our initial interview she told me that payment wasn’t an issue because I could leverage the house. After 4 months she told me that my 5k retainer had been used up an...d I owed $1700. She refused to even talk to me about this payment. I told her that I could not come up with all of it and make a $700 good faith payment. She dropped me as her client 3 days before my pretrial without even an email. I begged her to work out a payment solution and she didn’t even respond to my email. She told the Judge that it wasn't about the finacnes it was me. The entire time she barely answered an email and she always talked down to me like I was stupid. Honestly it felt like she hated me for being a veteran. I do not recommend her or her firm. I feel they hate veterans.

Highly recommend

I hired Anna because one of my good friends was her former client. I am so glad that I did! My spouse has a privately owned business, which meant it was difficult to see his assets. However, Anna got me an amount for child and spousal support that was better than I expected. Thank you for your d...edication to my case.

Worst atty ever

This attorney is incapable to read her emails and answer simple, reasonable questions. She is apparently overwhelmed with cases and doesn't care about clients. She acts like she is compassionate but it is nothing but an act. She doesn't do anything for her clients and should not practice law at all.
