also known as Jeanne E. Brown, Esq., Morrison Brown PLC
I am an experienced criminal defense attorney, member of the Virginia State Bar for 25 years, and a life-long Virginian. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and my law degree from the College of William and Mary Marshall Wythe School of Law. After law school, I joined the Public Defender's Office in Fairfax County, where I was immersed in all facets of criminal defense and gained invaluable jury trial experience in all types of cases, from assault and battery to homicide and rape. I was the Deputy Public Defender until 2005 when I joined 3 former Public Defender colleagues at Lopez, Meleen and Sprano in Fairfax County. My practice has been based in Prince William County since 2017 when I joined Farrell and Croft, I have handled thousands of criminal cases in the courts of Northern Virginia, focusing on the counties of Prince William, Fauquier and large part of my practice has always centered on juvenile law. I represent children and teenagers charged with all types of offenses in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, including juveniles charged with violent crimes with potential certification to Circuit Court. I am a former member of the Board of Directors of NAMI (NAtional Alliance on Mental Illness) NoVa. I have a special interest in mental illness and addiction. I bring a trauma-informed approach to helping my clients and their families navigate their experience with the criminal justice system. I am proud to announce that in March 2025 I launched Morrison Brown PLC with my colleague and friend Matthew Morrison. Together we have a combined 35 years of experience and we look forward to continuing to provide those charged with crimes in the courts of Northern Virginia with the best possible representation.
