I was arrested for suspected DUI associated with a prescription sedative/hypnotic, ambien (zolpidem). DUI case in Sacto, out of state resident visiting CA once in a while, and working on H1B visa and with international travels. I made the biggest mistake in my life and drink and drove / i was pulled over in Downtown Sacramento for a wrong turn in a street and after the Field Sobriety test was arrested with a BAC of 0.9 i was then went to Sac county and after 10 hours they let me go / i thought i am done , i will lose my job... i will have to pay all that money and my whole life is ruined / couple of my friends from my workplace told me don't even bother getting a lawyer because everyone will be treated the same in the court and you will get all the basic fines and restriction like others , i was told for a first DUI is 3 years of probation , from $1400 to $2500 in fines , Mandatory SR 22 insurance for 3 years, suspension of Driver license for up to 4 months , 3 months of DUI class and 2 days of jail time or work project . this meant a lot to me and i wanted to fight it if i can , i started to look for lawyers on my own and after reading some reviews for different lawyers i red some good ones about Denis white and Joshua Kaizuka . i gave them a call and meet with them , we go over my case and i find them honest and clear about it , Joshua told me what i wanted to hear and i find out they are not just looking for my money , and will leave me there / i go ahead and chose them, i think i made the best choice in my life / Joshua told me because of my close to 0.8 BAC that i have , he can fight the case and get it to Wet reckless . also they can even fight the DMV hearing and get my license back . and i don't know how but he did the miracle for me . i get a call from him knowing that not only he was able to drop my DUI to Wet Reckless but i was given NOT GUILTY status and only have to pay $1400 in fine . It's very important to pick the right Lawyer for your DUI/DWI case as I have learned. This is my first suspicion of DUI and I regrettably passed on Joshua to represent me. The Lawyer I end up with was available on the day I paid him, then after that, he was very difficult to get a hold. After endu...ring many days of frustration, I decided to email Joshua. Even though he wasn't my Lawyer, he still was nice enough and provided me with valuable information. With just one call, he provided me more useful information than Lawyer I hired! Be careful who you choose. Being in trouble for the first time; I only read reviews by others and went with it. My best advice is to ask for recommendation from someone you know and who had gone through similar problems. There won't be a next time for me but for those who has come into this situation, my advice is to seek Joshua to represent you. He makes himself available and won't leave you in the dark.
