About Joshua
Biography
With over 25 years of experience fighting for my clients in jury trials, litigating motions to dismiss, negotiating favorable resolutions, and seeking post-conviction relief—including setting aside convictions based on failures to advise about immigration consequences—I am an experienced and highly knowledgeable Criminal Defense and DUI attorney serving the greater Sacramento area.
My training and education include qualification to administer Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST) and a certificate in Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE), both directly related to driving-under-the-influence cases. These courses were developed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the same training programs completed by law enforcement officers.
I have represented many clients with professional licenses, commercial driver’s licenses, and immigration concerns, and I take an individualized approach to achieve the best possible outcome—whether that means dismissal or minimizing consequences. I also handle the sealing of arrest records in appropriate cases and setting aside convictions after probation is completed.
I offer reasonable rates and am fully prepared to litigate when necessary. Most importantly, I work diligently to meet my clients’ goals—and, when possible, to exceed them based on the facts and evidence of each case.
In my spare time, I am involved in various community-based social justice and human rights efforts, as I believe we all share a responsibility to support and uplift others.
