I got into a bit of trouble while attending college in the area and didn't know where to turn to. I'm not from northern California so I checked out every lawyer in the area. I met with around 4 or 5 different lawyers when I finally met Josh and was blown away. I didn't even need to check out the othe...rs on my list because I knew I had found the right lawyer. Let me tell you a bit about Josh. I can go on and on about cliches about how caring and personal Josh is but it's the honest truth. After first conversation I had with Mr. Kaizuka about my case I knew I was going to hire him. Not because he tried to sell me but for reasons of honesty about my case, being informative about rules/regulations in regard to my arrest and judicial system, and extreme professionalism. I had two prio...r DUI cases that I previously got arrested for but never charged a couple years back. After a year in Sacramento county the District Attorney can no longer charge you for a misdemeanor because of statue of limitations. This doesn't mean that the DA wouldn't have looked into my past record saw that they never charged me for the two priors, and definitely could have convicted me for both DUIs. Even though I blew a 0.08 and 0.09 this arrest, they would have looked at those prior cases where I should have been convicted, and would have definitely charged me with a DUI likely with the most severe punishment possible. As soon as I hired Mr. Kaizuka I no longer had to go to court because he represented me on my behalf. Which if you don't know it's a huge relief in itself. He kept me informed through the process, and broke down best and worst case scenarios so we could strategically come up with solution best suited to my case. When I gave him a call or sent him an email he would always get back to me in a timely fashion. Whenever I didn't understand something pertaining to the case he would always take time to break it down. I ended up getting a reduced wet and reckless charge even with my priors. My punishment was one day of work project,3 month DUI course, one-year suspended license( that's only because of the points on my record or would have been a lot shorter). I don't have to install a breathalyzer in to my vehicle and I also got reduced court fines. This is more than a best case scenario especially considering my record. Mr. Kaizuka outsmarted the court system in my case. he has shown his expertise in my case with his field of law. He is also a very intelligent individual in the subjects we have discussed outside of my case. I would recommend him to anybody going through a pending DUI charge.
