It's been horrible.

It's unfortunate that I'm having to write all these negative reviews for me frayley. I hired him over 6 months ago and have been having the worst experience of my life with this company. I finally told them I would like a full refund due to his situation and Mr frayley agreed to issue a full refund.... It's now been weeks of calling trying to get them to issue a refund and I can't get them to do anything. I even agreed to let him make payments for (7) months just so I can get my money back. This is absolutely a horrible experience so far and I will update when they make the situation right. ! As of now , do not use this company !!!!

Great bankruptcy lawyer

Mr. Farley and his staff were very professional and supportive throughout the entire bankruptcy process. I was free to call whenever I had any questions about completing the forms or any other concerns. I was always treated warmly and with the utmost competence. I highly recommend Fraley&Fraley for ...anyone seeking help with bankruptcy,

Didn’t want it to come to this

Fraley and Fraley mishandled my Case and are now simply avoiding us after we trusted him to do what he said he would do. He knows our case was mishandled and offered to refile our case at no cost due to several dismissals. His staff misinformed us as did Gary, this is indisputable... we were due in c...ourt and we’re advised that our hearing was continued when it wasn’t. I could go into more detail but I just want our fee back due to non delivery of services which We wrongly believed he would honor being that he offered to provide the same services at no cost. Now that we don’t need to services he’s decided not even respond to our fee request and is forcing us to submit a fee dispute with the Bar. We trusted Gary and are very disappointed. We hoped it would turn out better that this.

It is unfortunate that this alleged client wants to post under “Anonymous.” As such, I can hardly respond to their situation directly or otherwise. Additionally, without “Anonymous” giving me permission to discuss their specific case, I am required by law to respect their attorney/client privilege. They are welcome to give me their name or case number and authorize me in writing to respond to the allegations here. Somehow I doubt that "anonymous" will do so. What I can do is discuss the general issues and how they are handled in my office. First, I am unaware of any case with “several dismissals” in our office other than people who come in with multiple prior cases that they filed on their own. Second, “His staff misinformed us as did Gary, this is indisputable… we were due in court and we’re advised that our hearing was continued when it wasn’t.” I see absolutely no reason we would tell a client that a hearing was continued if it wasn't. That would make no sense. There are only 2 possibilities I can think of. One would be if a motion to dismiss the case was filed by the Chapter 13 Trustee. Usually this is because the debtor is not making the plan payments, not providing documents to the trustee or is not doing what the plan required. Trustee’s motions to dismiss normally require a written response to be filed 2 weeks before the hearing. If it is not, than the court will take the matter off calendar (not continue it) and issue a dismissal order on the date of the hearing whether or not the attorney or the debtor appears. In fact, the Judge would not even hear the matter. Often we will send out motion documents and request that the client immediately contact us. Despite explaining the urgency of responding to us, some clients feel that they do not have to do anything and they can just show up for a hearing. The only other possibility I can come up with is that there was a continued "creditor's meeting." Some clients only come in at the very last second due to an emergency like a foreclosure, repossession or levy. An emergency “skeleton” case is often filed. The client must provide the rest of the information to us to complete bankruptcy documents. If the client does not do so the rest of the documents cannot be filed. When the allowed time runs, the case will always be automatically dismissed no matter what is done. Yes, my staff will tell the client that there is no purpose going to a hearing or creditor’s meeting if the case is being dismissed, because there isn’t. If it is a motion to dismiss, the Judge will remove it from the Court hearing calendar the before the hearing. That is not telling the client that the order on that hearing is not going to be issued dated the same day as the hearing. They have already sealed their fate. Going to the hearing would not have saved their case. They think that since there is an order that day that the hearing actually happened which is incorrect. “Anonymous” likely does not understand the difference between those concepts. Third, there is a saying “no good deed goes unpunished.” I will often reduce my fees or offer to help the client with another case for free even if the dismissal the consequence of their non-cooperation. If it was for some reason our fault that the case was dismissed, I would certainly refile the case for free. I always do whatever is needed to make things right. It sounds like that was offered to “Anonymous” in this case and it was turned down. Finally, I am regularly in my office as I have been for the last 41+ years. I am certainly not hard to find. I invite “anonymous” to contact my office. We can set a phone appointment if “anonymous” does not feel comfortable to meet with me face to face. I can then pull the file and see what actually happened. Otherwise, I wish them the best.

Chapt 7 Wonderful

Easy and not too time consuming with a flexible payment plan to get my bankruptcy filed. Gary remained on top of my case and helped me with any questions I had in a very timely and efficient manner. Best bankruptcy attorney you could hire in my opinion.

An honest lawyer who absolutely has your best interests at heart

I was a bit nervous when I found out I was being sued, but I'm extremely happy that Fraley and Fraley contacted me through the mail when they found out a suit had been filed. I had no idea what to do, so getting that letter gave me someplace to turn. I scheduled my appointment, and they got me in... very quickly. I met with Mr. Fraley and couldn't have been more pleased with him. He wasn't intimidating, he explained everything simply and clearly, and didn't try to rush me in and out. He was very thorough in going over my situation, and he actually gave me advice that was in MY best interest, not his. Rather than trying to up sell me and get me to declare bankruptcy, he advised me to wait, submit my answer to the suit (which he prepared for me for free by the way), and see if my situation changes before acting. This being my first time having to talk to a lawyer, I have to say I was very pleased with the service. He's highly rated for a reason: because he's very good at what he does. I absolutely recommend Fraley and Fraley to anyone in need of financial council.

"I endorse this lawyer. Why? As a debtor you want an attorney who understands the law and carefully and fully explains the answers to your questions. You want an attorney who is also experienced in all chapters and will explain to you the difference so you know which action to take, whether filing a bankruptcy or not, if so when, and which chapter and the differences. Sometimes, simply knowing the Bankruptcy Code is not enough, it is the many cases an attorney has worked through and the problems within that create a well seasoned and informed attorney; with Attorney Fraley you get just that! In answers to the various questions on AVVO, Mr. Fraley has demonstrated his knowledge and as a result, I strongly recommend that you seek out his advice if you are seeking bankruptcy assistance"

"I'm involved with many listservs and national associations in which Gary is involved. One of the first things I noticed with Gary is that he is very knowledgeable on bankruptcy law. This is clearly exhibited by his specialized certification in bankruptcy law provided by the State Bar of California. Currently, only 6 other bankruptcy attorneys in Sacramento County are certified. This clearly shows Gary's knowledge and how dedicated he is to the practice of bankruptcy law. You can find plenty of free information from Gary's website. You will be able to have initial information concerning bankruptcy before you even meet with Gary. I suggest downloading his e-book, which you can find on his website, for free. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
