" Simply the Best"

What to look for in an Attorney...Someone who has a sense of Calm..Ethical... ....Moral..Professional..Kind..Geniune...Education and a Passion for Law..... Someone who fits your needs and not your Pockets ! I didn't know who to turn to ..where to go..how much it may costs... I had No knowledge of B...k Adversarial procedures..I was basically Lost and Confused. I remembered Mr. Fraley say.." looks like you tried to do this on your own". A fool is a fool when trying to fly and land a plane with out a Training Manual.. "You need to have representation".I was embarassed and shame. No one wants to be faced with Bk..... an ultimate feeling of failure'. Mr. Fraley took time to listen ..He has a unique ability and knows one pain before able to explain ! I felt a sense of Trust at Fraley and Fraleys Law Firm. Help is on the way. Mr. Fraleys team work on my case for almost two years! They never stopped. Whatever the challenge Fraleys Law was Representing its client. I had a Chpt.7 which was exhausting both emotional and financial. After almost two years later..an Elephants weight was Lifted -off- my -Chest. I didnt know whether to Breathe for Air or Cry for Relief.. This event was extremly painful.. Many sleepless nights and loss of appetite. But I can honestly say , Mr.Fraley and his Attorneys(.Brian Turner..Dana Wares)..and his Fine staff (Marie and her crew of assistants) continued to Encourage and keep me informed ! We won our case. I cannot say or give enough Praises to this Amazing Law Firm! Yes ..by all means Mr.Fraley and his Team is .... "SIMPLY THE BEST".. Thank You!!!

A Great Decision

I was extremely satisfied with Fraley & Fraley. I liked the people there, was made to feel like a valued client, and had a very good outcome. Here are some details: I got a thorough initial consult with the principal, Gary Fraley. He spent over three hours with me that first day, obligation-fr...ee. He answered every question patiently. He did not pressure me at all. I was quoted one fee before preparing for each filing and that is exactly what I paid, even though I know my case required more time than most. Gary is unpretentious and straight-talking. He is ethical. He is extremely knowledgeable and very likable. The other attorneys were also knowledgeable and generous. My options were always explained to me in a way that enabled me to be an informed participant in the entire process. Gary's then-associate, Andrew Grossman, helped me enormously as we proceeded by answering literally dozens of questions promptly and thoroughly via email. And Andrew's inquiries, suggestions and descriptions of the possibilities prompted me to make personal choices that changed everything for the better. The staff, from Jennifer the receptionist to Lisa the paralegal, are friendly, responsive and helpful. Unlike some attorneys we saw, when we met before the trustee we were very prepared with all the required paperwork filed properly and in a timely way. In the end, we developed a strategy which stripped away burdensome business debt with one filing, and reorganized the repayment of arrears on secured assets with another. It was not simple nor was it without sacrifices. But I managed to keep my real property and that was very important to me. My impression is that some firms specialize in a one-size-fits-all Chapter 7, but Gary does not do that. He will help you find the right path including Chapter 13 and other options, even if it isn't bankruptcy. I highly recommend Fraley & Fraley. You owe it to yourself to meet with Gary if you are considering this important step.

Excellent bankruptcy lawyer

Gary was recommended to me by a friend who is also a satisfied customer. At first he did a means test to see if I will qualify for a chapter 7 ; he did try to help me out to satisfy the criteria since I am already desperate & is really in a very bad financial situation ( situation that will make i...t impossible for me to afford the Chapter 13 if ever) . On the day that I attended the court hearing, i was so stressed out not knowing what will be the outcome , i got more anxious when the people ahead of me were questioned a lot by the trustee. when it was my turn , I sat down nervously with him in front of the court. Lo & behold, there was only 1 question that was asked & the trustee looked at my paper works without any problem. I was relieved & is so grateful that I got him to represent me.For sure I will be highly recommending him to my friends & acquaintances ........

One year later BK still isn't filed

My experience with Mr. Fraley wasn't as outstanding as the others. I spent $5,300.00 for his services. I completed everything necessary to file in April of 2009. I'd go in for appointments and he'd sit at his desk eating popcorn and talking about everything but the BK (mainly politics). We were tr...ying to Modify our home loan and I'd called his office to see what I should do as he kept putting me off. Finally, when I had 2 days to complete my paperwork for the modification I called and told the receptionist that I needed to know that day. She told me to fax over the paperwork for him to look at, even though I'd already got the paperwork to him when I'd first received the Modification. He didn't look at it. He had one of helpers look at it and tell me that I could do whatever I wanted to do with it. Finally, in February of 2010 I called his office to find out when he planned on filing. I was told that I'd have to redue all of the paperwork that I'd already done back in April of 2009. My husband and I decided that we'd made a bad choice in selecting an attorney, and decided to fire him. We drove down to his office to pick up our files and we were told that we could come back in 3 days. We came back in 3 days to pick up our files we received our files but, were not refunded any of the $5,300.00. I phoned his office to inquire when we would have our money returned and was told that we are not entitled to a refund as the contract states non-refundable. I tried to talk to Gary himself , but was never allowed to. I explained that I paid him the money in good faith that he would represent us in our BK. I had to file a compaint with the Bar association and we settled for 1/2 the money back. I would have taken it further because that was unethical what he'd done to us, but I had to get some money to get it filed as our creditors were hounding us. When I first met with Gary I told him that we'd have to file a Chapter 7 because I didn't think that we would be able to make the payments on a 13. He quoted us $9,000.00 a month payments. I told him that if I could afford $9,000.00 a month payments that we wouldn't have to file BK. I kept insisting that we could not garuantee that we could even make that much every month as well as live. When I voiced my concerns he'd tell me that we would have to take a means test. He kept telling me this and come to find out a means test only take a couple of minutes. When we got our files back everything showed that he was going to file a Chapter 13. It was obvious that he had no intention of filing anything but a 13. We would have been in trouble as there was no way we have even made that kind of money a month. I guess that everything happens for a reason because, we were fortunate enough to find another attorney much more professional that did it for almost half of what he charged. I would not recommend Gary Fraley to my worst enemy.

"Client" Cathy posted a long but very false and misleading statement to which I have the right to answer. She does not tell the truth. Her & husband hired us to do a Chapter 13 bankruptcy reorganization AFTER the plan payments had been calculated at their FREE CONSULTATION. They said they could do the plan. They did not qualify under bankruptcy law to file a Chapter 7 at that time. They were not pressured in any way to hire us when they came in. After we were hired they set appointments and he would not appear or they would not show up or they would not bring in information requested. We would get calls with legal questions that had nothing to do with bankruptcy law. After being hired to do the Chapter 13 bankruptcy and were trying to get them to provide information to us, we were then told they decided to wait because they wanted to do a home loan modification first. She makes it sound like we were supposed to do something with the loan modification. We did not look at her papers because we were not hired to do that. I had no obligation to her to review her loan modification and she was told that. It is not the field I practice in. That was up to them to decide if they wanted to do it. We were also told that they wanted to wait because they were doing some deal with their bail bond business and another business promoting fights. We cannot file when the client refuses to cooperate with providing information or tells us that they don't want to go forward. They never provided the information about their business that they agreed to do when they hired us. A year later she decided that maybe she wanted to do a bankruptcy. Then she got mad because what information that we had received from her was now a year out of date and useless to prepare the documents required by law and she would need to give us the new information. We never got the business records that were promised. When her husband set still another appointmemt (which turned out again to be about something other than bankruptcy) and did not show up again, I told her that he would not be able to set more appointments with me without putting a deposit down that would be refunded if he showed up. I told her that I was not willing to have them waste my time that I could spend on clients that were willing to be responsible and cooperate like they agreed to when they contracted with me. That is when she came in without an appointment, screamed and cursed at my staff and talked trash to potential clients in our waiting room. She demanded her file immediately. We told her it would have to be photocopied first. Had she called a day ahead we could have had it available but I have to keep a copy to provide information to the State Bar if false accusations were made against me. As you can see here, that was a good thing I did. She was told to leave or we would have the police remove her. My staff politely told her that we would have her file ready at a reasonable time that was as fast as it could be prepared. I was not going to have my staff work over a weekend for her. Every time I or my staff had contact with her she was always complaining. I have NEVER been reproved either publicly or in private by the State Bar. In 32+ years the State Bar has never found a basis for a complaint. The State Bar would not grant me my Certification as a Bankruptcy Law Specialist nor would they approve State Bar Legal Education Credits for the bankruptcy seminars I teach if I did not have an absolutely spotless reputation with the Judges, Trustees and members of my profession. When they had the TRUE facts they closed their file and deemed it nothing but a fee dispute. I did start to arbitrate the fees but finally decided to give her part of the fees we had ALREADY EARNED twice over back simply to get rid of her. Anyone can complain. That does not make the complaint true. Look at the other reviews by my clients and you will see that this is a bad apple client not a bad apple attorney.

You want an attorney who is also experienced in all chapters and will explain to you the difference so you know which action to take, whether filing a bankruptcy or not, if so when, and which chapter and the differences. Sometimes, simply knowing the Bankruptcy Code is not enough, it is the many cases an attorney has worked through and the problems within that create a well seasoned and informed attorney; with Attorney Fraley you get just that! "I'm involved with many listservs and national associations in which Gary is involved. One of the first things I noticed with Gary is that he is very knowledgeable on bankruptcy law. This is clearly exhibited by his specialized certification in bankruptcy law provided by the State Bar of California. Currently, only 6 other bankruptcy attorneys in Sacramento County are certified. This clearly shows Gary's knowledge and how dedicated he is to the practice of bankruptcy law. You can find plenty of free information from Gary's website.
