MR. Campanella is a lawyerly you want on your side if you’re facing a DUI of any sort! He went out of his way to help me thru everything i needed even after my last court date. I was arrested in April 2016. Originally was charged with a felony injury DUI. In the matter of 2 weeks is was reduced to a misdemeanor then back to a Felony but with a great bodily injury charge which is a strike. I was really scared. I came across John online when I was looking for someone to help me on a DUI charge. I was recommended Mr Campanella after I got a felony dui and he was able to get it dropped all the way down to just a mis dui. He is extremely helpful with answering every and all of the questions I had and was really nice and caring. He was always there for me and didn't matter what time of the day ...or night he would always get back to me and answer questions. I had never been in any kind of trouble with the law. This was my first DUI and I had no idea what to expect. I had a high blood alcohol level and hit another car from behind - thankfully no one was seriously hurt but I definitely committed a serious crime and could have killed someone. From the beg...inning, John was very kind, compassionate and very honest about what could happen as a result of my DUI. I know that he looked at every single aspect for my best defense and was very good at persistently working with the judge and the DA in my best interest. I had no idea how hard the whole legal system could be with a first offense. When I questioned him about the possible effects a DUI could have on my job as a professional, he answered all of my questions to the best of his knowledge and then took time to research my situation for more information (calling colleagues and researching past cases and the laws). The judge was very hard on my and pretty much said she wanted to make an example of me because of my position. She sentenced me to 6 months in jail and 5 years probation. I ended up serving 30 days in jail and another 60 days with an ankle monitor. I was able to keep my job. When I was later hit by duplicate charges for restitution, John persistently presented my case to the DA until it was finally shown that all charges had already been paid by my insurance. This took 5 more appearances in court - John had all the patience. When I first met John, he honestly told me that dealing with this problem was going to be hard and that my case could go many different ways. He also told me that we would get through and it could be life changing in positive ways. He was right. I have survived all of this and I do believe I am a much better person as a result. I am very thankful that I had John to help me through.
