This woman talks down to you. She would give you the runaround. She told me I would be in jail for 10 days and the DA wouldn't back down on that. Later she said it's 10 days sheriff's work. At that point I already had sleepless nights. The more i talked with her and the more i researched the mor...e I lost confidence in her. She doesn't believe in her clients. She wants me to do what is easy for her. She told me if i go to court I won't get as good of a plea. I talked to another lawyer and he said I have a good case. There were many other things wrong with this lawyer but AVVO always seems to kick back my review. I hope this one sticks. I wish I swap lawyers earlier.

I was a victim in a domestic violence case and I did not trust that my best interests were being fully accounted for. When I hired her, I knew I was safe. I told her I was vehemently against testifying in court and I can tell you this: after all the subpoenas and continuances, I never had to appear thanks to her. Nonetheless, she was at every court date and reported back to me right away. The peace of mind she gave me was priceless. While no lawyer can ever guarantee you the outcome you wish, it is exciting when they do. With her help, the case was resolved exactly how I had hoped it would be. I am pursuing a career in law and have been around various types of attorneys — Nan is the kind of lawyer I’d aspire to be because she’s brilliant, driven, and holds herself to a high moral standard. She gets right in there and gets the job done. With all due respect to Santa Clara County, don’t expect a public defender to yield even a fraction of the results that Nan can! Nan Bucknell is absolutely the best DUI defense attorney you could ever hope to have. She actually cares about getting you the best possible outcome. I talked with many attorney's before finding Nan. To a person they were all very dismissive, and basically indicated "you'll get the outcome you get". ...They gave no indication they were going to work hard, and I believed them. Nan on the other hand, was from the first conversation, committed to the best possible outcome; she was relentless, and would not settle for the DA's offer. She got me an outcome I did not even think was possible. My charges were not serious, but Nan still worked tirelessly to get my issues dropped down to nearly nothing. Nan also happens to be a great person. She is warm, engaging, and helps tremendously to put you at ease. She will also listen to your inputs and take them in to use in your defense. Few people would be willing to be this open and flexible. Nan is. You will not find a better attorney, it is simply not possible.
