Employment discrimination claim

Jacob did an excellent job! He guided me through the whole process, explaining all necessary information with me all along the way, clearly and concisely. He was very available, always got back to me promptly and kept me informed at every step. He's a keen negotiator and I was very pleased with the o...utcome of my claim. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

An Excellent Choice!

Having never had an issue in my life where an attorney was required, I interviewed and discussed my situation with 7 different attorneys/practices. Jacob was by far the absolute best out of the group and I could not have made a better choice for my situation. He works tirelessly for his clients and i...s highly communicative. It never took more than 10 mins EVER to receive a response back from him (if he didn't pick up initially to begin with). He was kind and thoughtful to my situation, explained everything I needed to know and fought. I can not say enough and would recommend him to anyone I know. This is the guy that gives attorneys a good name.

Listend to me. I like that.

Who wants to have a situation whereas we need to talk to someone and share some "messy" personal stuff? None of us. Yet I needed to do it for myself and my family about a legal issue. Jacob took enough time for me to tell him our situation, which is not great right now. Why else do you call a lawyer?... To be blunt and honest, Jacob allowed me to tell him enough. He's smart and he's heard a lot of people's stories. I felt satisfied that I got enough out, and then he came back to me with his ideas and suggestions. They were right on. I think I must have signed ten times during the call while now listening to him as what he said not only made sense, but his care was truly there and he truly offered his heart and mind which is so much what we needed. I needed to hear what he said, and he said it well. You know, it's what you put out to a professional. They can't read our minds. I advise to be clear, concise, not too emotional, and then be open to listening to a professional. Jacob is a professional. I talked, I listened, and I'm glad I called him.

Honest and up front

I consulted with several employment lawyers prior to hiring Jacob. Everyone offers a free consultation but Jacob spent at least an hour plus some reviewing my case without asking for any commitment on my part. He was upfront with what he thought my chances were if I chose to go ahead with a hearing v...ersus seeking a settlement. He gave me a reality check with both scenarios. He did not sugar coat anything. He took my case on short notice considering I had a hearing scheduled within a month. He was always available to discuss my case and any developments at anytime of day or night 7 days a week.

A rigid thinker and does not try very hard

I had a consultation and briefly hired Jacob, but I found that he had rigidly held beliefs and spoke patronizingly to me even though I have also attended a good law school. I had an employment issue, and he didn't try very hard to see my point of view or find legal basis to support my case. ("I know ...the law better than you do!") He didn't seem to be in my corner or to show the promise of "zealous representation." He snapped up my case on the first phone call but later backed off on what he promised to do. I found a couple other lawyers who were fully in my corner and followed through with all the issues in the case, so I broke off with Sider and hired one of them instead.

This client did not like me. Not all my clients are going to like me. So the parts of this review that amount to 'I did not like him' are true. Some of the other things written here are false. It's important that I listen carefully to my clients, but I am not going to agree with all my clients all of the time. This client reacted very poorly to my not seeing eye-to-eye with them. I hope that their next lawyer was a better fit.
