Mr. Siegal was extremely responsive as it pertained to my lack of knowledge in pursuing a wrongful death/malpractice injustice. Joel handled a case for my mom and sister who were in a motor vehicle accident. He quickly got in touch with the defendants' insurance carriers, obtained relevant records and efficiently recovered sizeable settlements. He negotiated liens that otherwise would have eaten up a portion of their settleme...nt. Joel kept in touch with my sister and mom throughout the whole process, addressed their concerns and patiently explained each step to them. Joel and his team are tenacious and compassionate. I have read the poor review below and could not disagree more. I hired Joel when my mother was hit by a car. He could have taken advantage of us in any number of ways. Instead, he advised us to settle out of court through mediation when it became clear that mediation would result in far lower expense...s and a higher settlement. We did, indeed, receive a very generous settlement that will help my mother deal with the long term effects of the accident. Joel was always honest with us and gave us the best advice he could. In cross examination, he took his time talking with the woman who hit my mother until, after a few hours, he was able to get her to admit that a cell phone was her hand. That was, of course, a game changer. He picked an outstanding mediator - someone that the opposing attorney would respect due to his long experience in the insurance industry - and as a result, negotiations were quick and resulted in a number both sides could agree upon. Furthermore, he fought to reduce medical expenses, negotiating with several insurance companies and the consultants they hired to recover those expenses. This is not a man that needs to be dishonest in order to make a living; quite the opposite - he champions those who need his services the most.
